After the record rain fall, we experienced two weeks ago, at our Scottsdale home, would have been flooded and facing considerable out-of-pocket cleanup and remediation costs. <br /> The Cost for having a well-designed stormwater drainage system installed by a highly professional, competent and qualified contractor like Tom Rubino and Landsape Drainage Solutions, paid for itself in less than 24 hours, great ROI in anyone's book. "The work was done by the provider who was a great roofer and an assistant whose expertise was carpentry.  They did a good job removing the existing facia boards, pulling back shingles, and cutting the roof deck.  The facia was reconstructed and the roofing was laid back using the old shingles.  They also installed a new drip edge.  The final product looks fine.  The only comments I can make are due to a little observing of how the intricate part of how the new, now higher facia, was tied into existing facia at a corner where the facia on the where the facia coming in from the other side of the house is still at the edge of an eve with the original longer overhang and lower height.  To make all the angles work using the best craftsmanship methods would have necessitated removing the first facia plank coming into the corner and reconstructing using a 3 dimensional mitre.  While they did some mitering on the new facia as they built down from the new level to the original level, the miters were not perfect and they simply chose to butt up to the existing facia at the corner of the house. <br /> <br /> As mentioned above, their final product looked fine.  But they did use a fair amount of caulk or other filler to smooth over the miters and the work at the corner of the house.  After painting, the choice to not do the multi-compound miter was not that bad.  I probably did not pay for a job that would have gotten such fine carpentry.  But we did discuss that that was how they would attempt to rebuilt the corner.  There was also one area of approx. 18" at the other end of this 40' roof cut-back job that did not get painted.   It is on the backside of the facia but still visable if one stand right under it.  <br /> <br /> That really is minor to me as I am pleased with provider's overall professionalism and clean job (they did an excellent job cleaning up after they work).  I got what I ordered and my reason for getting the work done was satisfied. <br />"
