Stob Construction is a small construction firm specializing in interior remodeling. We keep a small crew of honest, hardworking individuals. When possible we buy from local woodworkers, lumber dealers, and suppliers. We emphasize supporting our local economy and promoting sustainable resources. We focus on listening to our clients needs and expectations. Building relationships with our clients is important the the growth of Stob Construction. We spend most of our time in East Grand Rapids, Easttown and the historical districts in Grand Rapids. We are always looking for unique projects. We have a lot more fun when we are challenged. We strive to keep a realistic view of our projects. So, being reasonable with our costs is emphasized. We do not have trip charges, initial service fees etc. Depending on the situation we can offer a bid, time and materials contract, or cost plus contract. We use subcontractors when needed. We don't staff licensed plumbers and electricians. We have very good relationships with several qualified, licensed plumbers, electricians and HVAC people. Honestly, we want it done right. "It went beautifully. It's an old house so there were lots of problems of sloping floors and odd layouts. Andy and his team came up with great solutions and the new kitchen is a focal point of our house. We moved a bathroom, stairs, and the location of the appliances in an L-shaped place. We put in all new cabinets and shelves, a new floor, some new walls (and removed some old ones)--it was a big project."

"Some of the worst service and product I have ever received. Drapes did not fit the windows after the roomsbeautiful "specialists" did their measurements. Drapes arrived crumpled into a small box- which require professional steaming and ironing to straighten. Even so, they tell me if can do it myself, and the drapes looks even worse after ironing. The lining that THEY selected for me looks like reflective trash bags up in my windo from outside. I also expressed concern that I should only get one window treated first as a test, before committing to all 5- and the roomsbeautiful agent persuaded me to just do all 5. So I spend 2000 on these Drapes, which I will never in a thousand years put up in my home. And they won't accept refunds, and they only take zelle payments which cannot be reversed or argued. So WARNING: do not trust this company, and do NOT give them your money!!!"

That includes high tech ladders for installing up to 28 feet with no extra charge.We beleive not haveing scaffolding on hardwood floors is important for instance. We are fully insured,certified by the mngs and have an outstanding researchable reputation bar none. We make it our #1 priority to be there when we say we will and complete the job on schedule.
