"Patrick was amazing and did an awesome job in the kitchen. I love the new faucet he installed and it works wonderfully! Patrick was very quick to give me a call and came out today and did the job I needed done. Very professional, friendly, efficient and very reasonably priced. "A technician arrived at the appointed time and easily diagnosed the problem. I had purchased the unit and had it installed 6 years prior by another company but I couldn't recall if it was still under warranty. The tech did some research and found out it was under warranty and rather than charging me for more than $49 service call, suggested I call the original installing company, since that might save me money with labor, stating he would gladly do the repair if that was my preference. I did decide to call the installer, and that was the right decision since it was a problem with a part they had already replaced for me, they had had the same problem with other units from the manufacturer. I am confident my house will be cool this summer, that's all that counts, right? Even though Huft didn't do my repair, they showed professionalism with helping me come up with the right solution and help me safe money in the process."

"After we purchased a house the kitchen faucet was non functional so we contacted New Flow Plumbing and Rooter. They were quickly able to determine the problem with the faucet and explained that it needed to be replaced. They also created a work around that allowed us to temporarily use the existing faucet. After a few days research we selected a replacement model for the faucet. New Flow Plumbing arrived a second time and because of their experience was able to quickly replace the faucet. If we have another plumbing problem in the future we would not hesitate to call New Flow Plumbing and Rooter again!"

"My hot water heater needed to be replaced but I've been blowing it off because I was quoted $3000. One night it finally burst, shooting water all over the garage. I didn't know who to call or what a reasonable price for a new hot water was but I needed a water heater so I submitted a request for an estimate with Home Advisor. Matt from Platinum Plumbers responded almost immediately via text, which I prefer. He quoted me $1700 for a 50 gallon water heater installed, up to code. I texted him 2 photos expecting him to reconsider his incredibly low quote. His next quote was for $1500 because I have a 40 gallon heater. I told him that seemed low compared to the $3000 quote I had received 3 months ago and maybe he would like to look at it in person in case he had made a mistake. Bless his heart! He said he's been doing this for 41 years, he has low overhead and if he finds anything unexpected he said it would be his fault!!! What??? He showed up the next morning, right on time. I expected it to take 2 hours. Honestly, he removed, installed, cleaned up after himself, ran my credit card, patiently waited while I tracked down a credit card that wouldn't be denied, handed me my invoice and was driving away in no more than 45 minutes. Matt is truly a national hero. Thank you, Matt"

"Once again I called The Plumbing Pros, this time for a relatively simple job to replace two OLD hose bibs outside the house. Bruce Bruce was very punctual as usual and completed the job quickly, neatly and professionally. As before, he went the extra mile and included some minor improvements which added to the utility of those faucets. I will continue to call The Plumbing Pros for all my plumbing needs. I highly recommend them."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Granite Bay, CA

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
