"There are not many businesses that offer retractable screens in Northern Virginia so I was very happy find Tri State Retractable Screens. The process from start to finish was smooth and problem free. I mainly worked with Colby who is very professional and responsive. He was more than willing to work with me via email or over the phone. I provided him some pictures and dimensions and he was able to give me few different options with approximate prices the same day. After my wife and I settled on our choices, it took about 4-5 weeks for the factory to build the screen. After that, the installation was completed quickly and cleanly. My wife and I are very happy with our screens. I highly recommend Tri State Rectractble Screens. <br />"

"The work was done quickly and gutters looked beautiful. We ended up paying some additional money to have all of the gutters and downspouts replaced. We upgraded to 6" gutters and downspouts and all of our overflowing gutter and drainage issues are now a thing of the past. Green Solutions were responsive, friendly and professional. We're very happy with the work and the decision."

"Initially, I needed a company to trench a water line to my garden. I contacted a few companies, some didn't respond and some quoted an exorbitant amount of money. Tom Lerch responded quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. Since we were interested in enhancing our backyard entertaining we also had Tom survey our property. He had a lot of opinions and since I had some specific design questions, he offered to put us in touch with a design architecture company. This was probably the only negative part of my overall experience with Lerch Brothers. The design company was talented, but they offered extra design ideas that I didn't request and attempted to bill me for them. This was resolved, but I found the experience a little distasteful. The installation of the garden faucet was seamless and my days of dragging 300 feet of hose is over. After brainstorming, we decided that we wanted to install a custom pergola over a patio. Tom was able to find a company that would design what we desired at a reasonable price. Once we agreed on a plan, things were very efficient afterwards. Each team that arrived for work were respectful to us and our property. They took great care to not disturb areas that were not involved in construction. When hiccups did happen, John Lerch (the project manager) was quick to contact me and resolve the issue. For example, the freight delivery was delayed in Baltimore. Instead of waiting for the local delivery company to find a truck to complete the process he sent his team to retrieve the products. I really appreciated that John was very involved in each step of construction. Even though we are just finishing up with the project, I can look at the overall experience with a great sense of satisfaction. You hear more horror stories about construction/renovation companies. I can definitely gives these guys my 100% support and recommend them to anyone."

"I asked three different contractors for estimates to do this work. Two were responsive and provided written estimates (Bond Home Improvements said they would provide an estimate after scoping the job, but never did and were not responsive to f/u calls asking for status of est). Rick's estimate was clearly the most thought-out and well-considered. We added some items as the work progressed and other needs became apparent. The workers did a nice job and were helpful in making suggestions for improvements, which added to the overall cost of the project, but were ultimately a benefit to the how things worked out in he end. <br />"

"They were very professional and clean.  They cleaned up after themselves well.  They went into great detail about the work they were going to do.  The workmanship was great, and we are very happy with what they did.  We would highly recommend them, and we'll probably have them do more work for us."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Grantsville, MD

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
