"Showed up to scope job at scheduled time. Showed up to do the work when they said they would. Did not leave till job was finished and I approved the finished project. Even brought and used a vacuum to clean up when they were finished. Great customer service. Knowledgeable. Professional work ethic. Friendly. Trustworthy. Would hire them again for future projects. Excellent and reliable company for all home projects. ."

"Wow! Sam and Calla exceeded all expectations. They are responsive, communicative and take the same care with your home as if it were theirs. Our 25+ year old home is cedar sided and needed some love. Their knowledge and experience with cedar/log homes is extensive and showed in the results. Our home was carefully cleaned and re-stained, the foundation repainted and our rear deck, which was in a bad state, rejuvenated. When we begin an update of the interior, they will be our paint team. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding but the thoughtfulness of this team made it one of the best experiences of this kind we have ever had."

"The people at All Painting & Power Washing do outstanding work. My project involved removing 24 year old wallpaper in three rooms and painting in two rooms. John and Brian did the work. They were punctual and considerate. The wallpaper removal went better than I expected. They were able to overcome any problems due to their extensive knowledge and skill. My condo looks magnificent. I highly recommend this company. They do excellent work and great clean up. They also have reasonable prices."

"I received a Quick Home Energy Check up from Advanced. Lou was the technician, he installed free LED lighting & explained all of BGE's energy saving programs. An energy report was provided also that educated us on other ways to save. Great service, Great company. Thank you Advanced!"

"I would like to recommend Bolivar Painting Company. Luis Bolivar gave a free written estimate. He and his assistant, Marcos, were efficient, on time everyday and so pleasant and easy to work with. Their attention to detail was impeccable! They finished ahead of schedule moving all the furniture back into place and cleaning up to perfection. We are so pleased with the work of Bolivar Painting Company and we are now going to use them for exterior work on our house."

"Jim is extremely friendly and responsive. However, as the weeks stretched into months - and he increased the costs of services twice, my patience grew thin. It took nearly 3 months for 2 bathroom renovations. And throughout the process Jim and his team kept asking us basic questions you would think a home contractor would know. <br /> One of the questions was "how high do you want your shower curtain bar?" It's literally a standard size (75-77 inches). When I came home, it was installed ~6 feet off the ground. I'm 6'4 and was pretty confused why it was so low. I had to ask them to move it. <br /> Similar experience with them placing mirrored medicine cabinets. One bathroom has them so low I can't see my face without squatting. The other bathroom (because we complained) has it so high my wife can't see her face.  <br /> Jim subs out most of his work. We were very lucky that his tile crew did an exceptional job. The rest of the work is pretty mediocre for the price we paid. <br />"

"I'm a relatively new homeowner, so after a storm damaged my roof, I had no idea how to get my roof repaired or how to navigate the home insurance claim nightmare. I was so grateful when my friend's husband (who is a contractor specializing in home insurance jobs) recommended I call a company local to me called American Custom Contractors. My friend's husband told me he had worked with the company previously and knew that the company had good people, does good work, and is trustworthy. I'm happy to say that he was 100% right. Initially, my home insurance company only wanted to pay to replace a few shingles on my roof, but American Custom Contractors advocated on my behalf, and we were able to get the home insurance to replace my whole roof! There was months of back and forth with the home insurance company, but American Custom Contractors really allayed my anxiety during this whole process. In fact, everyone I met and spoke to at the company knew exactly what they were doing and were polite and professional. I felt like I was in good hands during the entire process. I'm happy to say my roof is now brand new and beautiful. I highly recommend American Custom Contractors for their superb customer service and high quality work."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Grasonville, MD

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
