"When I called I got next day service.  The serviceman was on time and professional.  He tried every trick he could think of to get the shower running properly and avoid tearing out the old plumbing and replacing the shower valve.  Nothing worked so he scheduled another appointment to replace the valve.  I had previously opened up the wall because of an unrelated water problem so the replacement was pretty straight forward.  It was a two man job with the guys on opposite sides of the wall.  The shower works great and I no longer have a leaky outdoor facet.  They have done work for me before and alway did a good gob. <br />"

"I can't say enough about Northwoods Custom Builders. They are easy to work with, communicate well, and follow through with what they say they are going to do. Jon is a very talented woodworker, attentive to detail, and was creative in identifying solutions to meet my needs. Everyone who comes over comments on the craftsmanship."

"I was very pleased with the laboratory's responsiveness, in regards to answering questions I had about taking samples.  They were very good in communicating how best to sample the air on both the finished and unfinished sides of our basement.  However, where I was disappointed was when I received the literature inside the package, it stated that I could not attach any paper or label to the vials, to indicate from where the samples were taken.  In effect, even though I had stated on the paperwork, that one vial was placed in the finished side of the basement, and the other in the unfinished side, when the results came in, there was no way of knowing which results matched the side of the basement that required action. <br /> I called and expressed my concerns, and they mentioned that the highest reading, more than likely, came from the unfinished side.  That would seem logical, however, I had left the back cellar (unfinished) door on the finished side open during the test.  The back cellar may end up being a bedroom.  I can't take the risk in not knowing.  They then suggested that I have the tests done again, but I don't think it's fair that I be recharged.  As it is, I had to block off the cellar, where we do laundry, etc., for two and a half days.  It's an inconvenience to the family.   <br /> They then told me that I could have marked the bottle caps "1" and "2," and I certainly would have, had it been mentioned in the paperwork.  When I asked them why it wasn't, their response was that "it would just confuse people."  I disagree...and on my part, lots of time and energy has been wasted...and I still have no definitive results.  The company needs to put more effort and care into meeting the special needs of its customers.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"<p>I called, promptly got a personable, knowledgeable associate who immediately provided contact information for their Tallahassee Servicer</p>  to inspect/repair, or to make a decision ( with my input ) to replace the whole unit with a new one. This primary servicer was unavailable ( "Labor Day Vacation" ) so, "Complete" ( Amy ) immediately gave the OK to use "anyone of My choice". This choice of  Servicer ( unfortunately, I had no immediate access to Angies List, so an unknown/yellow pages search ) led to a poor result the following day; removal of the microwave door, with the promise to analyze the problem(s) and determine/report repair cost to both Complete Protection and myself, per protocol. This self-chosen company ( after my persistent calls to get back to us ) offered to repair the door unprofessionally (with used/make-shift parts ). I reported this to "Complete"( about 9/6,  Associate Paul ), along with other microwave facts ( e.g., age of unit, cracking of plastic grills ) who, without hesitance, agreed to authorizing their re-imbursement of $250 toward the purchase/installation of a new microwave( covering my "out of pocket" cost completely). Amazingly ( but not amazing with this Client Centered Company ), my Complete Protection Check was received "before" the new appliance arrival! I wholeheartedly recommend Complete Protection, not only for their unique coverage paradigm( e.g., no contracts, 24 hr. live associates, use of customer recommended servicers, where applicable ) but for their personable/knowledgeable Associates, seemingly facilitating a built-in ( yet sincere ) Client- friendly model of helpfulness. A very rare find. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Grasston, MN

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
