Also inspected for safe operation!!! This company is very good!!! They completely installed a new wood burning stove and brought the chimney up to code for a safe operation. "Original bid was $850. Somehow it ended up costing $1200. I'd rather know the price up front than be lied to. Every trip he made to the house there was a new issue that increased price. I have since spoken to a couple of installers who assured me that the items he charged me extra for should have been included at no charge and he should have known to look for them when he did the original bid. Like how thick was the existing door and the replacement door? Charging extra to replace trim that you removed? I wouldn't use him again. Which is sad. I would have paid the higher price if that's what he had quoted to begin with, but to nickel and dime at every turn seems shady and I don't want to business with that kind of businessman. The house was under contract and he knew that I had to get the job done, which he gladly took advantage of, running up the price. Don't take advantage of people. It isn't nice. Like I said, I needed the job completed, the issue wasn't the price, I would have paid the $1200, the issue was the way that the man does business. If this is the way that Wayne treated me, I shudder to think of how he would take advantage of someone else who would be easy to take advantage of, say and elderly person or someone else who was rushed. It's better to be up front and honest. The job took longer than anticipated but not excessively. I've noticed that any home improvement job seems to take longer than scheduled."

"It turns out that the way the concrete was originally poured caused the original mason to fudge the job. Tim and his helper (sorry I forgot your name) went the extra mile. They removed all the old brick and cut a straight edge in the concrete. Then masterfully cut each brick to fit the new edge perfectly. You'd never know... Communication was good and quick. Fit me in as soon he said he would."

"I had 4 contractors give me bids on Foundation repair. Ultimately I did not select liftech but they were my 2nd choice. Their price was competitive and Jack M did a good job of explaining the process. I at least recommend Liftech for consideration if you need foundation repair."

"Interstate had the most detailed bid and the best communications leading up to the roof replacement.  They were close to the most expensive bid, though they did negotiate to bring the price down.  They did not seem to be wedded to a particular product, and were certified in the one we wanted.  They got started within a few days of signing the contract, and arrived early the day we had scheduled.  Interstate removed our existing roof and put on the new one in a single day.  They continued to work hard and got the roof done during a two hour downpour.  The cleanup was good, though there were a few nails scattered around and a bag left in a tree.  Interstate did send people out a few days later to complete some details that could not be done in the rain.  The inspector said the roof was well done. If we had only contracted the roof and no additional work, we would rate them an 'A'.    After that, we became less satisfied.  They did a fine job on the roof itself, but never went above and beyond with the follow-up.  We had to initiate all conversations on completing the gutters and sky tube, and we received the bill for the roof before the additional work had been scheduled.  We understand that the gutters are done by a subcontractor, but expected more initiative on communicating with us for the work we had contracted in addition to the roof.  When they were done, the gutters were done well.  We are still waiting on the sky tube."

"Jeff responded very promptly to my call and came out to give me an estimate the same day.  He was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable about the problem we were having.  He gave an estimate of the work he'd do and agreed to come back in a day or so.  Within that time he called and ask if a certain day and time would be good for me.  He performed the work agreed on to my satisfaction at a price slightly less than his estimate.   <br /> A day or two later I discovered some caulk on a window pane and called Jeff to come and remove it for me....No problem, he came out the very next day and cleaned the window.  The window is on the second floor with no access except by ladder and very difficult to get to so it was understandable that it was easy to overlook and not just sloppy work..... <br /> I would not hesitate to use Jeff anytime for most repair or remodel of our home... <br />"
