The slate had been installed with copper nails, so they had to get on their hands and knees, looking through the grass, to make sure all those copper nails were found and removed. The only negative might be the slightly "caulked" appearance of the final product but it was well done. I think this is the compromise of a replacement window and for the price point was the right decision for this property. I could feel and hear the difference in heat gain and noise insulation immediately compared to the original single pane windows."
