Customers say: Quick response

"Tucker was very good. He was polite and respectful. He was on time and when he worked he was careful to do exactly what I had asked. If he was running late arriving he’d call and let me know. He would have me look at what had been done to be sure I was satisfied. If there was something I’d forgotten to ask him to do he’d either do it then if he had the time or make another time to come back and do it! He was very eager to be sure I was satisfied with his work and fix anything I had a problem with. I’ll be calling him when I have more outside work done in the future."

"Just had a great experience with Carolina Foundation Solutions. Andrew provided a clear overview of the options for a bowing basement wall and settling corner. Robert, Wesley, and Marvin did the work. Andrew knew the pros and cons for the solutions and explained them well. I am a tough-minded engineer and have very high standards for worksmanship. Robert, Wesley, and Marvin did a FANTASTIC job. They were punctual, thorough, and professional. They put in helical supports for the corner and carbon fiber straps for the bowing wall. I did not do any comparison pricing."

"Tony showed up on time to give me an estimate for repairing my chimney. due to the fact that he would not know how much work would be needed until he actually begin the job my estimate was a wide range between $800 and $2000. Tony and his crew of three workers showed up on time the next morning and were very friendly and professional. they finish the work quickly and it appears to be a high quality job. Tony did what he needed to do in order to repair the chimney and did not add a bunch of extra work that I did not need. the actual cost of the job ended up being six hundred and fifty dollars which was below even the low end of his estimate. they did an excellent job of cleaning up everything and even cleaned out my gutters while they were on the roof. I would definitely hire Tony and his crew again anytime I need masonry work.
"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house. My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats. They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house. Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough. It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway. It seemed really fast to me. The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano. We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed.
We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors. Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation.
After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house. They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down. A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots. We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement. We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation. While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house. The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision. Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared. Great job guys.
Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements. We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement. We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013. It's been a long process, but well worth it. Made possible by Expert House Movers!
"

"Dissapointing. I made an appointment for a free home inspection for a home I was about to purchase. The technician came early and met with the current owner. Upon my arrival, the tech was leaving. I informed him that I was the one who set the appointment. He said- "oh ok well- the house is fine". I then pointed out a couple of locations where the foors dipped he said it was not a structural issue- ok. I then showed him major cracks in the brick on both sides of the inside garage wall and he said it was normal settling and not a structural issue if you can't see same damage on the outside wall in same area. I then asked if he inspected the crawl space where the pillars were. He NEVER went into the crawl space! I asked if he could please take a look at the pillars and foundation so he suited up, crawled inside and came out within 5 minutes. "all looks good" he said. I then showed him cracks in the concrete front porch and how the wood railing was shifted- "normal settling" he said. Basically, his inspection consisted of walking around the inside looking for cracks in the interior walls that could have easilly been hidden with spackle and paint days or weeks ago. He left and I really did not feel satisfied with the quality of inspection. Perhaps I am just picky. I DID hire two different home inspectors, HVAC inspector and an electrician in addition to RamJack and I have since purchased the home and wouldn't you know- they ALL missed something that they shouldn't have. I trust no one anymore! I suggest you grab as many home inspections as you can. Good thing RamJack's was free but I would get a second opinion.
"

"He is very good at the work. When he was doing work at my place, he was also doing interior painting in some other places. He was good. I bought the materials, and I paid for the installation of the roof as well as the painting. The quality of the work was good. When there was a problem, he dealt with it properly. He was responsive on the phone, if there was a situation. I was very impressed with them. He was excellent. I have recommended them to somebody down the road."

"Frank made an appointment to come over and do a test application to the driveway and sidewalk areas where we had new concrete that was painted. Although this concrete was painted it contained the polymer called sure-grip. The area of the new concrete was still very slippery. I had broken my ankle by slipping on the driveway in a rainstorm on the 4 NOV. Franks also said the test was a no cost or obligation to me and he would like to show us what the product could do and find out just what exactly was the problem.
The results were very impressive even with water on the surface of the treated area. Our next step was to make an appointment to have the trouble area treated. The weather needed to cooperate and by 9 DEC we had a good couple of days in which the treatment could be applied. Frank and his business partner came and prepped the driveway with a degreaser type soap and then let things dry . After that the chemical was put down that would increase the surface tension on the driveway. While the first coat was drying, Frank came in and applied the treatment to the ceramic floor tiles in the walk in shower. Both areas were left to settle and after the guys went and got a bite to eat. A second coat was applied. We stayed off the driveway for a good 36 hours ; however, the shower was ready for immediate use. Everyone who has" slip slided away "on the drive, sidewalk and in the shower were happy and made comments as to how different the surface felt and that there was definitely more traction. Frank told me he would call me to check on how things were and in 6 months would come out and check the areas that the treatment was applied.
I would not hesitate to refer Frank Garriga and the Slip Doctors to anyone who had a similar problem. They were courteous, professional, friendly and provided a much needed service for me and my family to prevent any further injury and or loss of work time. It was difficult to find someone who had a solution to the problem but "Slip Doctors " got it done!! Thanks Guys.

"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Greenwood, SC

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
