"Paul, the owner, was terrific. I needed to replace a rotting wooden rear entry door with a new ThermaTru fiberglass door. I also wanted to add a storm door to the same entry. Paul came over and inspected the site and we ordered both doors in late December of 2021. The doors arrived several months later and Paul came out for the installation. He was great. He was clearly a meticulous and experienced professional who knew his stuff perfectly. After several hours he had completed the installation of both doors. They look and work great. Paul also cleaned up the interior and exterior areas where he worked and everything was immaculate after he left. Can't of better than Washington Door Service,"

"They were excellent. They did a professional job and our windows turned out beautiful. Ricky, Joel, and Emilio were friendly, and did an excellent job. They cleaned up every day and got the job done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Lake Washington Windows and doors."

"It was a much more difficult job than expected and took way longer than expected so cost more than double what was expected. If there had been 2 people instead of 1, it would have been much easier. He was very professional but having to wrangle a large glass door by himself was not ideal."

C.S. Remodeling Inc is new to Angi, we are looking to provide a variety of Skilled Home improvement services. We have been in business since 2001, all of our work has been through personal referral and is 100% residential.\n I often refer to us as old house carpenters. I've worked on homes from the 1900's to homes built in 2017. Being familiar with the different types of construction techniques lessens the surprise factor and makes modernization or repairs easier.\n I'm hoping to make the jump to Angi a good one and to continue to provide a positive and comfortable remodeling, repair or home improvement experience.\n Thanks Craig Stemley

"Dave from Norseman Door came to bid for our garage door repair for broken springs and cables. He explained what needed to be done, gave us the options of replacing the springs and safety cables or transitioning to a torsion rod. Dave answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly and quoted a price that was less than half the other bids we received. He was prompt, courteous, professional, did a great job, and there was no mess left behind. We would hire him again anytime."

"The installation was excellent! These guys definitely were experts and knew what they were doing! Since it took about 2 months from time I had ordered the door until it was installed I was VERY pleasantly surprised how well it went. I expected they would find problems since there was water damage and I had already had to have siding and other wood damage replaced last year. However, these guys were great and handled things when a problem was found to make sure the door could be installed correctly and would last a lifetime per their guarantee. Everything was measured and cut so all exterior and interior parts fit perfectly. Outside trim looks great and was caulked to ensure that it would resist any water damage from outside. The door is gorgeous and they did a great job of replacing interior trim they had to remove prior to install from old door, When they were done they cleaned up, removed all stickers from window on door, and even vacumned area. They went through door features, guarantee, and operation which is great since I now have a beautiful new door that I can close and lock! They were very professional and even handled interference from Bella, my new rescue dog from Texas. She loved them and gave them her best Texas greeting. They made sure she didn't get out of back yard through the gate they used to access work area! I will definitely be using them to get a new storm door for my upstairs bedroom and window for lower bedroom."

"Dan did a great job installing the LiftMaster 8550 Replaced my 18 year old LiftMaster died. He also said they need to replace the garage door rollers, lube & tune service. My garage door has been very noisy for 18 years, now it is so quite. Great Job Dan...thank you. Total Cost I thought was really high."

"Yesterday evening my garage door spring broke. This morning I called Anderson's Door Company right after they opened at 8am. They answered promptly and because my house is very close to their shop he offered to schedule me as the first appointment of the day. It's 10am and my garage door is all fixed! Scott showed up promptly. He suggested that I replace both springs even though only one had broken. I agreed and he was able to do the job entirely with parts on hand. After the replacement I asked him to walk me through what work he did and explain how to maintain the door in the future. He was really friendly and professional."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Greenwood, WA

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
