He was very honest about the age of the range and the fact that the repair would not be cost effective. "I called and made a next-dayn appointment  for an arrival between 12:00 and 2 p.m.  I received a call the next day at 10 a.m. that technician could arrive in a bout 20 minutes. Mike arrived shortly and went to work. He quickly diagnosed the problems: the dryer needed a switch on the door. The washing machine was operating properly. The problem was the impaired draining of the basement sink which caused some of the  expelled water to  backflow iinto the washing machine. I later called my long-time plumber and he opened the drain. <br /> This is my first time to use AAA Appliance Service, Sales & Parts. I checked Angie's list and liked that they have been in business for more than 30 years, were a family-owned business, and had an A rating. The receptionist/scheduler was very pleasant and helpful; the technician was professional and personable. Together, they inspired my trust and respect. "My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Appliance City. We came in specifically for a range/oven, although we knew that we were also going to need a new dishwasher in the near future. Mike took the time to show us his inventory and explained that the business has been in his family for decades. First, he showed us the pros and cons of the ranges in our price range. He showed us a large room in the back of the store where they keep spare parts and components for repairs. We mentioned we might need a dishwasher, so he showed us a couple of options and gave us a great price for both appliances that included delivery and installation, and they were able to do it the same day. We were pretty happy . Mike is clearly a and quot;people personand quot; and enjoys what he does. All the employees at Appliance City were really friendly. The store is pretty old and has been in the family for generations, so it was nice to have such a great experience at a locally owned business. Apparently they're going to start a website for buying spare parts, too, but I don't think they've started that yet. "Veterans Appliance Service made trip to determine what part needed replacing, found after-market part (manufacturer no longer carried the part), installed part which was complicated because after-market thermostat did not have all connecting screws...requiring on-site fabrication of connector parts, which was successfully done, the replacement part was installed, it now works fine, saved us buying an new oven. Very friendly, good communicator, honest, highly recommend."
