Small jobs welcome

"I am very happy with the work done by Cannon General Contracting. They showed up when they said they would, did excellent work and kept us informed throughout the project. Everything was completed on time and with great care. It’s hard to find contractors you can truly trust and Scott and his team are definitely one of them! I highly recommend them. "

"Loren did exactly what he said he'd do for the quoted price. There were a few things that were uncovered after work had begun, he quoted prices on the additional repair and completed them as agreed upon. The work was completed in a timely manner. The house was neat and tidy when he left. <br /> He was very professional in our dealings with him; I would not be hesitant to recommend him. <br /> Bill Bassett <br />"

"I'm extremely happy with their work. These guys were prompt, worked hard and fast and pay attention to details. They are very polite and there was no bad language that is so common today. My house was roofed 8 years ago by a local roofer and I have had leaks in 2 different rooms every year since. He roofed over rotten wood so Chico Roofing had alot of wood to replace. Price a little high for my budget but worth the peace of mind. Love my roof! The man who handled my job was "Stoney" and he addressed all of my concerns and was available to answer questions even on the weekend."

"Excellent customer service on installation. Very timely on installation as it only took 2 days! They have high marks in my book except one but this applied to all 3 roofing companies I called. Answer the phone like it is a business line and not a personal line. I had to ask if I had reached the correct phone number. Other than that I would use them again and recommend them highly. <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Gridley, CA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
