"I recommend Allshire highly and without reservation. Russ, John, and all their crews were professional and we felt comfortable throughout the process. Our bathroom was fully gutted and rebuilt (with same footprint) - the end result was fantastic and I believe the value was very high. Just to make others aware - we had a fair amount of back and forth with the inspectors from our township and had several hardware items delivered to our house that were broken so they had to be re-ordered - so job took longer than we (and Allshire) expected. That said, the company has many positive attributes: 1) communication is solid 2) attitude is positive and professional 3) final workmanship very high 4) pricing very reasonable 5) overall demeanor is friendly and flexible which is what we wanted. We will call them again when we get ready to remodel our kitchen. Allshire is a good company because it is made of good people."

Customers say: True professional

"I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Rich the "salesman " told us we would definitely have our remodel complete within a month(by Thanksgiving). Well after no contact from company I had to call after 3 weeks to get update. Was told it would be after 1st week of December. Finally get date Dec 15, but no time. Showed up around 10:30. My 2 1/2- 3 day job turned into 4 full days and they had to come back to fix a few things after. My house was a mess, carpets had to be vacuumed every nite. My garage looked like a Carpenters workshop. Sawdust an inch thick on everything. Caulk job was terrible, they cut one of the 3 shower walls short and filled it in with a strip and caulk, my husband made him trim the entire shower. Left a hole in my ceiling above the shower, put a hole in my screen, didn't caulk around toilet, or cut off the floor bolts. Trim cuts were terrible. And to top it all off they threw away parts to my wood window valance.!! I called to complain. Useless"

"Footprints did a fantastic job on our bathroom renovation. Billy was super helpful and made the whole process easy. Adnan managed the project smoothly, and Ahmed and his crew did clean, professional work. Highly recommend them for any tile or bathroom remodel!"

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Grosse Pointe, MI

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
