After some frantic phone calls to roofing companies, Roofx responded right away and even sent someone out on a Saturday to look at my roof. There was a hole in my roof and due to it being old slate tile, it couldn't be repaired. The Roofx team was amazing, especially Tiffany, Ron, and Mark. It took about two weeks to schedule them to come out to replace my roof, due to financing and having to wait for a break in the weather. But my new roof was done in one day and they did an amazing job."

They didn't leave until the job was done to their high standards even if it meant coming back to finish some touch up paint. They also built a small balcony on the back of my house and when there wasn't any railing that would look good they built it themselves. On top of all of this their customer service is some of the best I have ever dealt with. I am so thankful I chose Simpson's Painting and Repairs for my balcony to be built and house painted. "It went fine, however, I was told the job would take roughly 8 hours for 1 person. It ended up being 15 hours, partly with a second handyman. So it was twice as much as we were expecting, and the price is already pretty high. Also, the second handyman brought an extra piece of siding that was not needed. We had already purchased a piece and had it painted, ready to install. So that was an unnecessary added expense. But I guess it's ok as we'll probably need it at some point in the future. What was really weird is that the same mistake happened when we had a piece of siding replaced a few years ago! Overall, they did a good job though, despite the cold weather."

"Made an appt. with Castle Rep, James, for 17 windows and vinyl siding. He spent 1 hour talking about how great his company and windows are before finally getting down to the issue. We were told that CASTLE makes and services their own window, with all the best technology and technicians available. The price per window for energy efficient came out to over $1,200 per double-hung window! And since they make their own products, we could not find a way to compare quality and price with other manufacturers. But his per-window price exceeds the average price of $500-700 by A LOT! When we balked, he made a call to his "manager" to see if we qualified for a "special promotional" discount. If we were to commit right there on the spot, we would get an additional 10% off! Still way to high. We said we would think about it (he got sad and snippy), and that we wanted to hear about the vinyl siding quote before we made any decisions. He told us he could not give us a siding quote until his company did an "eagle view" measurement, which would require another appointment! We had no intention of sitting through ANOTHER high-pressure appointment. High pressure, long-drawn out presentation and he would not leave us with anything in writing! No brochures, prices, nothing! He refused to put anything in writing and we could not have a break down of labor and costs. I even asked him if I could have a copyhh of the window warranty and he said "only if you purchase right now." And they did not come prepared with references or previous job locations! When we further researched the company, we found they did make very excellent products, but the #1 complaint was by far that they did not honor their lifetime warranty and that customer service was horrible. In the end, we chose not to do business.."
