"US Cabinets are quick, efficient and such perfectionist. I dealt with a few crews because I had demo work, cabinet refacing,, countertops and the backsplash done and all were so professional, neat and courteous. A lot of times companies require some nudging to get things done. Not US Cabinets. They would schedule things same or next day most of the time. I loved that. And Seth answered all my questions very quickly. He put me at ease, because I quickly learned he was on top of my job. Thanks US Cabinets for making my kitchen beautiful."

"From our first call to this company, we knew they were right for us. They were the only ones who would do just our cabinet doors and drawers without ripping out the entire kitchen. Jeffrey Capariella, Roman Gasior, and Jeff are all gentlemen. Roman and Jeff did the work in our home to perfection. They were always on time, and worked very neat and clean, Besides being respectful, they were professional and knowledgeable and addressed all our concerns without hesitation. We highly recommend Kitchen Refacing LI. We are extremely happy with their company and the work they did. Thank you so much guys!!"

"Frank Tedeschi and his men did an amazing job. The buffet had sustained substantial damage, both to the interior (drawer and frame crushed by an unsecured heavy shelf board) and the exterior (multiple scratches and dents, and two drawer faces that required replacing). Frank went to a great deal of trouble to match the wood that needed replacing, and the repaired and refinished piece looks as if it had never been damaged in the first place. We are more than delighted with the result! Frank and his crew had previously done a great job stripping and refinishing a large mid-century book/display shelf for us."

"After getting multiple quotes to have our 19 year old natural/honey colored wood cabinets re-painted white, we decided to hire Jason and Long Island Wood Renewal. Jason was able to show us some samples of what the cabinet doors would look like and his pricing was very good as well. Jason and his guys took care to make sure that no other items around the cabinets were affected by the painting, and we were still able to move around the house during the process. All scratches and dings to the existing cabinets were all filled, so the cabinets look like new. Our contractor and cabinet guy that we used on other portions of our reno were extremely impressed with the work that was done and will be recommending Jason to others. Friends that come to our house cant believe that our cabinets arent new and that we had them painted. Kudos to Jason and Long Island Wood Renewal."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Hampton Bays, NY

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
