"If you are looking for paver patios, the installers are great. They did a very nice job, and were professional throughout. They would clean up every day before leaving, addressed any questions we had timely and we are very satisfied with the results. We also added a gazebo to our patio design. It was very clear that gazebo's are not one of their strengths. We encountered many issues with the design and build of the gazebo long before construction began. We had hired Josh in October to complete all elements of the landscaping project the following spring. Over the winter months, we had asked on many occasions for catalog photos, or anything that would confirm what the finished gazebo was going to look like. The pictures were never sent and the only indication of what it might look like came just a few days before the project began and was a very small (1x1) black and white picture. Our expectation of the gazebo was that the material used would be cedar. We had asked for glass windows that could be closed during the cooler and winter months. We were assured on many occasions that cedar material and glass windows were what we were going to get. As they were starting to build the gazebo, the material was not cedar, rather it was pressed wood. As the windows were installed, they were not glass (despite being told that very day they were glass), instead they were a plastic film over the screens. We were left in a very difficult position where we were essentially forced to concede on both elements. While the gazebo is functional, and will suit our needs, had Josh sent just ONE picture sometime in the 5 months or so prior the project start, we may have been able to make a different decision. Related, and something else to be aware of. When trying to reach Josh about start dates, etc I would say he was not always as responsive as I would have expected. Furthermore, there were multiple instances where what was promised was not delivered. Again, if you are looking at a paver or patio project - these guys are great and I would recommend their workmanship. However beware of anything more than that."

"We bought an old house from the original owner, who hadn't touched her landscaping in probably 10 years. I reached out to a few companies right at the start of quarantine for a quote on some landscaping work. Brian was the first person who responded to me--he was at my house within a couple days, and we stood 6-feet apart outside as we walked around the house and discussed what we needed done. I explained that I am not outdoorsy and have a black thumb; I didn't want anything that required a lot of maintenance from me. He heard everything I asked for. As we approached the side of the house he paused and asked "Do you get water in your basement." He was right on. He identified an issue I never brought it up to him. He also pointed out that our retaining wall was buckled and crumbling. He had a quote to me within a day. He had a crew at my house as soon as the governor allowed his business to open back up. They worked hard for 4 days, only stopping when it was too rainy to continue. Brian was able to save many of my existing plants and bushes to save on the cost of new plants. Every couple of days Brian would walk around the yard with me to make sure everything was to my liking. When it was all done, he gave me a folder of information--what was planted, when/how the plants needed to be watered or treated, what to do before it frosts. My yard looks 100x better. My neighbors have commented on what an improvement they made. I feel like our curb appeal increased tenfold. And a bonus: I haven't had water in my basement since they were here. Thanks Brian! You were great to work with! We'll call you in a couple years when we are ready to do the backyard. :)"

"The project went very well.  Storm damage caused by two trees coming down on two sides of the fence was repaired in 2-3 hours.  The workers reviewed all needed work from the estimate prior to beginning the work.  They even volunteered to replace a top rail from another section of the fence, not included in the estimate, that had been bent in a storm many years before.   The workers were very thorough, did not damage any plants or grass around the damaged areas and cleaned up after themselves.  The workers were knowledgeable and polite.   They made sure everything was nice and straight!  Everything looked very nice when they were finished.  The workers were approximately an hour late from the start time I had been given.  I called and was told they had gotten a late start.  Their good work made up for the lateness.

"In Spring 2012, we obtained quotes from three companies to tear out two existing retaining walls along the driveway and re-build them using Versalok, excavate and grade the backyard, and build a 3.5 - 4 foot retaining wall in the backyard using the stone from the old retaining walls. Genadek had the middle quote; they were also the only company to follow up with a phone call. The whole job took about 4 1/2 weeks. Stan, Mike, Tim,  Rob and Andrew were very professional and friendly; our neighbors even raved about them. They cleaned up the job site at the end of each day and communicated frequently so there were no surprises.
My only recommendation to those interested in hiring Genadek is to get on their schedule early. Their calendar books up fast!
