"The entire process was a fiasco. Mike and his team built our deck without checking the ledger board or apparently using a level. Our deck started to sag in the middle and we called his team out to look at it. They did a quick fix which did not resolve the issue. We called Mike and had a brief discussion, and he told us, "I don't know what to tell you". He then hung up on us. We eventually got him to come back out. He had an attitude the entire time. His crew admitted to not checking the ledger board. Our deck is lower on one end and has several areas of buckling. Mike had nothing but excuses. One of his team members offered a solution. They worked on it and left without asking for feedback. Mike never followed up. They also don't use hidden fasteners so there are holes in our no maintenance decking. Mike was completely rude and unprofessional. They built our deck wrong and he made us, the customer, feel like the bad people. His crew also took the dirt from the footings and threw it under our arborvitae bushes. I had to dig it all out by hand. There are a lot of deck builders. Do you research. I wish we had."

Ari and his team of subcontractors recently completed a challenging remodel of one of our bathrooms--challenging because it is a very small area with limited space. Their finished job looks better than our separate remodel of a larger bathroom completed by one of the big firms that advertises daily on television. Examples: the tile work in our small shower is exceptional, and the vanity/oversized sink is a perfect match that does not dominate the small room. Ari Erickson (no relation to me) offered selections from his preferred vendors, but we had full latitude to shop on our own for all tile and fixtures. He and his subcontractors kept us fully apprised at all stages of the project, arrived promptly throughout the course of the work, responded promptly to our texts and emails, and cleaned up their work area at the end of each day.
