"Alan is a trustworthy guy who wants to make his customers happy.  For big jobs, he works with a friend, and both of them together can do essentially anything (including basic electrical and basic plumbing).  We first hired him to remodel our bathroom.  It included tearing a wall down and expanding it so a bath could fit in the room.  They also had to tear down a 150 year old brick chimney in the process.  They installed a new vanity, built a shelving unit into the wall and put in the lighting.  The finished product was good.  The room was not square, but the house is built in 1836, so I don't know if anyone could have done that.  
Next, we had him install a railing on our stairs.  This came out great no complaints.  
He then installed a bedroom with laminate flooring and also the stair landing.  This job was not as clean, some of the floor trim was not edged and the lines of the wood running from the bedroom to the stair landing were not flush.  These negatives though were a result of a positive - that is, for this job, he worked from dusk until sun up because he had other jobs/commitments later in the week.  He is an extremely hard worker.  For this job we traded the finishing touches for timely completion - and overall the finished product was still good.  
The last major job was the sheetrocking in between our beams downstairs. 
In most jobs, there was a little clean up I had to do - pieces of wood from the carpentry of the bathroom left in a crawlspace, horsehair plaster or sheetrock left crumbled on the floor.  They forgot to include thresholds in the bathroom and bedroom jobs as well.  HOWEVER,  whenever I spoke with Alan about any of this, anything I had not already done, he came over promptly and fixed/completed/cleaned it.  He was reachable and kind and we trusted him.  He said a few times that he wanted to make sure we were happy.  
We called him on two or three separate occasions because he is a hard worker, he is trustworthy and his price is reasonable.  We would call him again for sure.

"I contacted Cully because of his ratings on Angie's List as it is very hard to find a reliable contractor in this small town where we own apartments.
Cully immediately got back to me - we discussed what work needed to be done and he had a very professional proposal emailed to me within 24 hours.  The price was right on target for work performed and we are very satisfied with his work.   Initially, we agreed for him to sheet-rock 2 ceilings but found that he was so knowledgable and handy so we also had him put up paneling.
We did not have him paint the interior as we did that ourselves (he did paint the ceilings when completed).  Come spring time, I will hire him again to do some exterior painting.  He is my first "go-to" now when we need repairs, painting, or sheet-rocking done.  He cleaned up each time he finished working, making it look better than it had before he started.  
Cully was always on time and in communication with me either by phone or email so I knew where the project stood at all times.  He even suggested an electrician and was there to let him in and explain what we wanted done when we had to upgrade our smoke detectors.
I would highly recommend Cully, he went above and beyond what was asked of him.

"They were fine. Jonathan Mayo is the proprietor. He was prompt and he was polite. He did just what he said he would. I would certainly call him again. He was a very nice person. It went beautifully. He arrived promptly at 9 when he said he would. He climbed right up on the roof. He brought shingles because my roof is too old to get the same shingles. He had some similar ones. It took him about an hour and that was it. He came down and left. I was very very pleased. The only thing was that I was thinking about things to do to make the house look good to sell it in a few years. Being a businessman, he asked me if I had considered aluminum siding because that would spruce up the house. You would expect an exteriors person to say that. Of course I don't want aluminum siding because I have got a nice wood clapboard house. That was the only thing that he suggested and my house doesn't need it. Aside from that, the job was wonderful. His work was wonderful. I would not even take that as a prompt because you would expect somebody to recommend other things that they do. He does a lot of things. His card said roofing, siding, decking, windows, skylight repair, chimneys, and roof shoveling. He pretty much does it all for the exterior of a house. I was very pleased with the price. I had nothing else to compare it with. I didn't even bother asking anybody else."

"We hired Neil for a painting job and ceiling crack repair. He went above and beyond painting our entire interior of our house. He made suggestions about what types of material, what colors of paint to use, and even went out and got them for us. He always cleaned up at the end of the day, and was very neat and organized. He was always prompt with communication, and was clear with us if he had other jobs going on. Neil is very friendly, hard working, and knowledgeable. "Nick and his team did a very thorough and quality job. It looks great, and they made an effort in some large and small ways. They were concerned about damaging the roof of the carport, so they took off the roof, did the work and replaced it (Suntuff). I had heat tape on several parts of the garage to correct occasional ice dams, and Nick came back after the job was done and put them back up. They worked to keep the number of nails in the grass to a minimum, and cleaned up after themselves. If there were any challenges, it was controlling the nail population on the ground. Everybody worked hard (including my wife) to use the magnet to clean them up. We also got hit by a big storm in the middle of the job, cutting power to many places and downing trees on our road. This slowed the work a little. We had a few small leaks during the storm, but nothing bad, as they had put the underlayment down before the storm hit. All of this work was done for a very competitive price that couldn't be beat by two other competitors, and it is not possible to control the weather. My wife and I are happy we found him on Angie's List."
