"My wife and I have been wanting a patio for a number of years.  Mike came out punctually for our estimate and could not have pleasant and professional with his ideas and kindness.  After talking with my wife and researching the company on Angie's List, we decided to go with them for our project.  We had a plan for the patio but Brian provided some other small tips that has made our project really stand out for us.  
Brian, Mike, and Fernando could not have been nicer guys and were so easy to work with.  When they got here on the start day of the project, I let them know what we wanted, with a few changes, and he provided a lot of knowledge with what could work better with our backyard.  The colors Brian suggested for our pavers was spot on and really goes awesome with the retaining wall.  They were punctual, courteous, honest and hard workers.  I am in the moving industry and always appreciate seeing hard work.  There is no way I would ever think about hiring ANYONE besides Brian and his crew.  Thank you guys for making our yard into what we never thought we could have imagined.  Your guys truly are awesome!!!!   We'll be calling you in a few years for another project!

"I had to purchase material needed for the repair prior to the guy coming which wasn't ideal since I wasn't 100% sure what was needed but I got it close enough and he took the area apart and patched it up and gave me very clear instructions on what to do to give it the best chance of lasting (second coat of paint and checking the caulking in a few weeks). Very helpful and it turns out that all of the leaking, including what I thought was seeping under the wall, was from this area of rot and we've had no more problems in the 10 months since the repair was done. "It is a relatively small back yard. It was in need of being leveled off, grass seed planted, weeds destroyed, etc. The landscapers suggested building a low wall with concrete blocks, thus raising the level of the grass plot, then filling that in and planting the seed. This was a good idea, and a very effective solution to a problem area. I rated some parts of the work a "B" because I did not want to mislead readers into thinking that this was a larger or more complex project than it was. I was quite satisfied with the work."

"The work was done well overall, but I had to remove some large concrete pieces from the sloping areas around the edges. The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. This was not Jerry's fault, as they did not follow his instructions to break these up, and add them to the substrate rock under the patio base. There were delays due to the very bad weather, out of his control, but the re-scheduling needs could have been communicated better, in my opinion."

"Trevor and his crew did an excellent job installing a concrete pad for our hot tub. He and his crew first had to remove existing foliage before the concrete could be poured. He was even able to save some as a buffer from the neighbors, Trevor and his crew were friendly and polite, willing to discuss what and how they were approaching the job. We would highly recommend Matthews Construction and Trevor Matthews and his outstanding crew. I would certainly hire them again if I ever need this kind of work done."

When repair was being done, we were very much impressed with people on the job and the excellent work. This led to our extension of contract to have much needed work to be done on our home. All work has been professionally done and we are extremely satisfied with the completion of each project.
