Customers say: Quick response

"Rick installed our range hood and was fantastic to work with. He communicated quickly, provided a clear and fair quote, and completed the job in a day. Rick was honest, efficient, and knowledgeable—and he helped us accomplish something other handymen either wouldn’t or couldn’t do. We really appreciated his problem-solving and professionalism, and we’d happily hire him again."

"Definitely get a written estimate before starting project as he changed the numbers midway through, did a good job on the door and also the wall I hired him to do but broke my baseboard. Said he would repair it so it looked unbroken but didn?t. Didn?t replace my outlets now I have to hire someone else to do this. Said he would do that when he came back to paint the wall but we decided to paint ourself and he ghosted me afterwards. I had already paid him the balance as of this point so my bad!! Wall looks great! He knows his work. Also make sure if you use him to get a written receipt of all the parts that he buys as I feel like he purchase two door knobs at my own expense then used one and was going to return the other, but I?m pretty sure he charged me for it on my final bill and I didn?t realize it until after he ghosted me. So I think his work was good, but I think he was a little shady. He also said he was changing the name of his company soon. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Happy Valley, OR

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
