"Devin was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He was willing to be flexible with his service fee based on whether or not my microwave could be fixed. While my microwave was repairable, he was honest and told me that I would be much better off getting a new microwave. I really appreciated his honesty. I will absolutely call Devin at Affordable Appliance Repair Technicians in the future."

"Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."

"We scheduled a free estimate with Jeff in mid-november to have a tile backsplash installed in our condo's kitchen.  Jeff came over as scheduled.  Took a look at our space + the materials we had accumulated, gave us a quote, and recommended a few more things that we will need to purchase.
On the install date Jeff and his partner came right on time and got straight to work. As they come in the evenings (because they do full time jobs by day), my lady and I left them to their handiwork and went out for dinner/ went to run some errands as it was to take ~3 hours (6 man hours as they work as a team). After about 2 hours, Jeff gave my cell a call to let me know they were gonna be finishing up soon.
We headed home and by the time we got there it was done.  Not only that, they ran into some difficulties due to our original shoddy cabinet install job, but were able to breeze through it no problem. When it came time to settle up, we were only on the hook for 2 hours of work (33% less than expected) and paid them accordingly.  Not only that but the tile backsplash looks amazing.
The next time we need any work done around the house that we either can't do, or we don't have time to do, Jeff will be the first person I call!

"It is whoever they contract with. I pay monthly almost $40.00 but it includes both repair and replacement. This is for all appliances. I have a lot of old appliances in my home. I thought I would be using them a lot. I have not had not used them alot. I have 2 furnaces and they did replace one of them."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Madison, WI

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
