"We completed an extensive remodel in the finishing of our basement. This included structural work which required moving multiple structural supports. The group was professional and competent. The design plans were finalized working with Mike B. who had good ideas, was organized and very pleasant. The majority of the work was performed by our contractor Josh who was highly capable, attentive to detail and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The supervising contractor Mike M. was great and he was in contact throughout the job As is typical for any major remodel, some issues came up, specifically with the subs, and Josh and Mike M. were there to make sure that issues were resolved in a fair and appropriate manner. We are very happy with the outcome of the job and highly recommend the group. If and when we undertake future projects, we will certainly be in contact with In Your Home."

The projects included new hardwood flooring in two rooms and on stairs, gas fireplace insert replacement, lots of tiling and drywall. All of the employees who came to our home did exceptional work along with being communicative, tidy and patient with our dogs. "This is the second project that we have hired JAW Construction for and we are very happy with how our remodel turned out. As this was a major kitchen, dining and living room remodel, which meant we were not going to be able to be in those rooms during the construction, John and I worked on the timeline to ensure it went as smoothly as possible. Before the project started, Mark from Amcraft Cabinets came out and measured and talked with us to determine how best to use the space. We came up with several cool options including a pull out spice rack and a lift for my mixer. Once the project began, John, Brian, the electricians Clint, Christian and Tyler and the plumber Mike were always on time, friendly, always available for questions and cleaned up after themselves. John estimated that the project would take six weeks and it ended up taking five weeks! While it was not fun to be without a kitchen, we are so happy with how it turned out, it made it all worth it. Everyone that has seen our remodeled areas or pictures of them are very impressed. I highly recommend hiring JAW Construction and we are already planning our next project with John."

"We started off by getting bids from four separate contractors. Stan's bid was somewhere in the middle price wise but I find that it isn't always best to go with the lowest bid. Some contractors will give you low bids just to get their foot in the door, leaving things out like permits etc.. I felt Stan gave an honest and well thought out price. I also like to see what kind of vibe I get from a contractor when I'm speaking with them. If they seem like a used car salesman, just telling me what I want to hear, then that's a great indicator to avoid at all costs. I didn't get that vibe with Stan at all. He seemed very honest and to the point which I like.  <br /> Once contracts were signed the project started and went very smoothly. Stan projected, if I remember correctly, that it would take around six weeks for the conversion and that's about how long it took. I've heard horror stories from other people about contractors disappearing, during a project, for long lengths of time and taking forever to complete the project but I can tell you this was not the case with Stan and Superior Building Concepts.  Every time I sent Stan an email with a question/concern it was addressed immediately, and, as was stated earlier, our garage conversion was completed in the projected time frame.  <br /> Ultimately, working with Stan and Superior Building Concepts was a great experience. The garage conversion looks great and has become a heavily used addition to our home. I would recommend Superior Building Concepts to anyone seeking a contractor and would/will definitely use them again. <br />"

"I would highly recommend Ron. Our project was quite ambitious: complete redo of our guest bathroom (new vanity, shower, tile on wall and floors), redo of two-person master shower, and new kitchen island with installation of induction cooktop and downdraft hood. Ron is without question the best contractor that I have ever worked with. He is detail oriented, a good communicator, VERY knowledgeable (he’s been doing this for decades), and very obviously committed to doing a good job and making sure that people are happy with the result. He’s also a genuinely nice person to work with. Being a detail-oriented person myself I had lots of questions for him throughout the process. He always took the time to explain things to me and if needed alter how he was doing things to fit our needs. He even took the tine to answer other questions about the house that weren’t related to the job. The quality of the renovation depends in large part on the quality of the subcontractors. Ron works with a set group of contractors / companies (plumbers, tile installers, furniture makers, etc.) which he has developed a close relationship over the years. I have consistently been impressed with the quality of their work and they are all genuinely nice/reliable people. It gets tiring over the weeks having strangers in and out of your house and everyone to a person that he works with has been a nice person, obviously committed to their work but also happy to stop and explain exactly what they’re doing and why. I think it’s a testament to the relationship that Ron has built with these contractors that many of them have told me privately and unbidden how much they respect Ron and enjoy working for him (or in the case of companies to which we have been referred have smiled when we told them who had sent us and told us that we were in good hands). One final note. It is apparently common practice for tile workers to pour off their tailings into people’s back yards, despite the fact that this practice is banned by the EPA and illegal in some cities (it is in West Linn where I checked). Given our extensive gardens I balked at this; Ron was surprised that I had an issue with it, but then worked to come up with a workaround that we could all agree on. I’m just putting this in so that if you care about this (it will definitely affect the plants in your yard and also can contaminate the ground water) you can request that whoever you work with develop a different strategy (we let it settle in barrels, poured off the cleanish water into some gravel, and sent the rest of the goop to be disposed of)."

"If you need work done on your house, hire Rob. I can’t sing his praises loudly enough. Two years ago, my husband and I purchased a house that is 100 years old. It is in decent shape, but we wanted to do a lot of work to turn it into our dream house. Rob has been our go-to man throughout this extensive process, and we can’t imagine having done it without him. "Paliy Construction replaced our vinyl and carpet with LVP floor on our whole first floor and also remodeled our master bathroom to make our shower room bigger with new wall tiles, glass door, shower header, toilet, and LVP floor. Their price is reasonable. We are very happy with the results and got a lot of compliments from friends. Would highly recommend to others and may use them for next project. The project manager Nazar is nice to work with, he came to our house many times to make sure our questions and concerns were answered. They started their project within the time frame we wanted, the scheduling time was very quick comparing with other contractors that would start a few months later. Nazar has a good communication with his crews to schedule their coming time. He also responded our text messages promptly. All the crew members, flooring person, demo, drywall, pluming, and tiling person are very nice and easy to work with. Great work, thank you all."
