"After doing some research, I had a preliminary view of what needed to be done and the cost of the material for the work. Then, I contacted 5 electricians to get written estimates for the work. Four of the electricians quoted a price that was more expensive than Glenn. One electrician suggested replacing my current 200 AMP, 30-circuit electrical panel that was maxed out at 38 circuits, with a 40-circuit panel thereby only gaining 2 additional slots. Another electrician suggested instead installing a 100 AMP, 20-circuit sub-panel, which was the correct recommendation, per my research. Glenn also suggested this approach, so I immediately knew that I was dealing with a straight shooter. While price was an important part of the decision making process for selecting an electrician, price was not the only reason I decided to go with Glenn. Of course, he had outstanding reviews on Angle’s list (A ratings only), but of all of the electricians, he was the MOST thorough and MOST detailed at exploring what needed to be done and he explained everything step by step ... he also asked a lot of questions and analyzed my current electrical setup before making a recommendation. He provided a very comprehensive recommendation with 3 different options for me to choose from that provided an efficient sub- panel set up that was also cost efficient, but all 3 recommendations solved my problem. I decided to go with a 100 AMP 20 circuit sub-panel that will provide me with plenty room to expand in the future. Glenn completed all work in 2 days and I was extremely pleased with the job he did. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable regarding his trade, he is also very professional, quite personable; a very nice person. It was a pleasure to work with him and as I told him after the job was completed, he will be "my electrician guy" going forward. I "highly" recommend Glenn ... simply put, he is OUTSTANDING!!"

"After getting a few estimates, I chose to go with Hughes Electrical with my above ground pool electric panel. William did fantastic work, he was very precise and thorough. He installed the panel, pool pump wiring and the pool frame bonding. I also received an extra convenience outlet by the control panel for anything else I needed plugged in! "Both jobs went very well. The overhead light fixture had shorted, possibly related to a leak from the bathroom above. John fixed the wiring to the fixture, as well as getting the light working again. He then checked an 3rd floor bathroom outlet that worked intermittently. I got the impression that his experience as an electrician helped him quickly figure out that the problem was related to how the outlet had been connected to the gfci outlet in the 2nd floor bathroom and changes to that outlet when the 2nd floor bathroom was renovated a couple months before. His work was fast and thorough."

"I was in an emergent situation, inexplicably lost power after mysterious flickering and dimming for a day. PP&L wouldn't connect me with a real person and ultimately told me it'd be 3 days to check on the problem. It was 19 degrees, and I had no power. It's just me and my two daughters approaching a January weekend. I was panicked. I went on Angie's list for the very first time, saw these guys, and sent out the request hoping for the best. Almost immediately, I got a call back. They'd already discussed and decided to take a stab at my issue. Within two hours, Fused was at my house and was able to see that the problem was pole-to-house wiring (PPL's responsibility), and offered to help make sure to get PPL to come the same day. PPL was at my home within 2 hours... and Fused didn't charge me for the visit. We've all been burned, some of us more than once, but these guys are decent human beings, and I would call them again in a second."

"It went very well. They were really nice people. They came out promptly. They had the special for $99 for a complete home surge protection package, and they charged me $100 more for the surge protector for my type of electrical panel. I don’t think it was a bait and switch – it did seem to take more time – but I’d like it if they’d notify you about the extra charges for recessed panels. I might use them again; I'd certainly get an estimate for a future job."
