"<br /> They called to say that they were running late and I am glad that they let me know that. They also laid sheets in my living room before working with the fireplace and I appreciated that, too. However, they were in our home for less than a half hour, and since we burn wood fires almost every night in the winter, the chimney must have had some creosote buildup. It had been several years since the last cleaning, so I suspect that our flue was dirty. I don't feel certain that they really cleaned it, but I can't tell. Other chimney service people have spent much more time cleaning the chimney, and some have gone up on the roof to check for problems. These people did not do this. <br /> Lastly, they charged me an extra fee at the end of the work session, saying that they charge $30 more for masonry fireplaces. They should have indicated this clearly up front, before performing the work. I was disappointed by this. I paid the amount, but I will not hire them again. <br />"
