"I had a very disappointing experience with Schoenherr Roofing. Can't believe 500+ 5 star reviews are true. I signed a contract at my home and later attempted to cancel within a few days after realizing I wanted to go another direction. They refused to return my deposit, even though they had not started any work, had not pulled permits, and had not ordered any materials. Most importantly, they also failed to provide the legally required "Notice of Right to Cancel" under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule, which gives homeowners the right to cancel contracts signed at their residence. After multiple emails communications, they finally agreed to release me from the contract but still kept my deposit ? despite having done absolutely nothing. I consider this unfair and not in line with ethical business practices. I?ve initiate to file complaints with the Michigan Attorney General, BBB, and FTC. "The roof shingle replacement process from start to finish was very smooth. The Performance Roofing team came to my house within a couple of days of first contact and walked me through the process. They were at my location when the insurance adjuster came, included everything I asked for in their quote, handled permit, and forced me to get approval from my HOA to close the loop before they started the work. Their crew showed up early in the morning, finished the work on my 2,800+ sqft roof in one day, and cleaned everything (including nails) before they left. Finally, they took pictures of the shingle installation process and shared them with me. I can't think of anything that went wrong or was not as I expected it to be."
