"I had to have the Faucet and valves replaced on my Italian Bidet and also to replace two shut off values on for our tankless water heater. Anthony and his hired worker started early in the morning on another job, but he was still committed to come about 8 PM to do the job he promised. I was very pleased with his work and the fact that he kept his promise; as busy man, he still continued with his promised schedule even after late hours. I would highly recommend you to give a call "Corri General Construction" for any jobs, he is very honest and trustworthy man. J.D. Snook"

"We met with Mike about an hour after we closed on our new house, a Thursday, and spoke about the work we wanted done. That Saturday, he met with us again to technically go "window shopping." He took us to see flooring, tiles, and through several aisles at Home Depot to get a better idea about what we wanted. He spent about 4 or 5 hours with us, all without us ever signing a contract. Needless to say, the very next day, Sunday, we met with him again and signed the contract which covered a full gut reno of the kitchen, bathroom and powder room remodel, hardwood installed throughout the first floor, painting and plastering in the first and second floor (his cost included premium paint and we chose 6 different colors) beadboard installed in the sunroom and a TON of electrical work. He started the very next day, 4 days after our first meeting. If you're on the fence at all about hiring Mike and his team, here's a few reasons why you need to contact him: - Mike is EXTREMELY punctual and neat. Punctuality goes an extremely long way with me, and even though we were always early to meet with him, he was always there before us. Also, he and his team cleaned up after themselves every single day, even though we were not living there yet. His tidiness was incredibly appreciated. - He kept and supplied all receipts for his purchases and charged us exactly that, no hidden costs at any point. - Mike gave us consistent cost saving suggestions, especially when my desires would surpass our budget! - In the five weeks that our reno took, Mike took about 3 days off, all to ensure that we were completed and moved in on schedule. - Any time we had the slightest concern about any work that was done, he addressed it IMMEDIATELY (ex. we changed our mind about a portion of our backsplash pattern and it was fixed the very next time we saw it) - Our renovation included the installation of a farmhouse sink, two barn doors, and a drawer microwave, none of which Mike had ever installed. Not only was he able to do these jobs, but he succeeded in doing them perfectly, including customizing our barn doors to include a lock and handle on the inside. BUT BEWARE.... They're work is so amazing that like us, you'll just want more work done, which is exactly what happened to us. Throughout the project (and on top of our initial contract) we added a cable wire installation behind our crown molding, new flooring in the mudroom, a full wall added in the mudroom to make a pantry, new tiles in front of the fireplace, and an insane amount of electrical work. Charlie, his electrician was phenomenal. So great, that by the end of our reno we had increased his job of updating and adding outlets, to installing 24 recessed lights, 9 ceiling lights, a ceiling fan, a lamppost light, a front door and back door light, a security panel, a doorbell, 3 outdoor motion lights, and 2 outdoor outlets. Yeah, he was that amazing. The rest of his team, Mikey, who was a great apprentice to Mike, and Santiago who avidly plastered and painted throughout the entire project (even while our movers were scratching up our walls on their last day of work!) were amazing assets to our renovation. All in all, I would wholeheartedly call Mike and his team again for anything we may need. Our job finished Friday and we called him today (Monday) about our sink's water pressure. He came 20 minutes later with no problem to explain our faucet and tell us how to better utilize it. Call Mike. You definitely won't regret it."

"Miguel and his team know what they are doing. They did everything right with our kitchen floors and bathroom. They redid everything in the bathroom, from walls, floors, plumbing, electrical, and shower. Miguel is an expert and was able to anwser all my questions. He would call back when he saw my missed call. The bathroom is upgraded and my wife and I are enjoying it. I will recommend Miguel and his team for anything you need done."

"We hired Westbrook to do a renovation on our home. The job entailed removing walls, gutting our attic level master bedroom, installing exterior doors, interior painting, adding windows, rebuilding our sunroom that had been taken apart for mold remediation. They also upgraded many aspects of our home including replacing light fixtures, trim, door handles. Dave and his team were a pleasure to work with and completely reliable. They do high quality work. The level of involvement and communication with Dave was really exceptional. He is easily available to reach, and is on top of every detail of the project. I would highly recommend Westbrook Contracting."

"Lazar diagnosed the problem from my description of the problem. He was spot on when he showed up the next day. I wasnâ t on site, he kept me informed at every step, sending video. The main sewer line was clogged, which caused periodic sewerage backups. Compounded by hair in the bathtub, sinks and shower. Within an hour he pulled out tree roots from the line and snaked everything. He then sent pictures of all things flushing and flowing. Extremely professional and reasonably priced. He and his team are plumbing whisperes, excellent technicians."

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in Hartsdale, NY

You should regrout tile every 10 to 15 years, provided it is well-maintained with regular cleaning and sealing. Over time, grout can deteriorate due to exposure to moisture, foot traffic, and the use of cleaning agents. If you start to see cracks, discoloration, crumbling grout, or loose tiles, it’s a sign that regrouting is needed sooner.

The most effective way to clean grout involves a combination of powerful cleaning agents and the right tools. Using a dedicated grout brush intensifies the cleaning process, ensuring a deep clean. Create a powerful homemade solution by mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap to break down deeply embedded dirt. After cleaning, reseal the grout to lock in protection and maintain its appearance.

You can't regrout tile without removing the existing grout and expect good, long-lasting results. You must replace the old grout when it begins to crumble and fail. New grout cannot properly adhere to existing grout, meaning moisture will still reach the damaged layer and cause additional water damage, which will be more costly to deal with in the long run.

Visible indicators, such as cracks, stains, chipping, and mold growth, signal that your grout is compromised and no longer maintains its bonding strength. If you notice these issues, cleaning alone won't restore the grout's integrity. In such cases, consider complete or partial regrouting to preserve your surfaces and prevent further damage.
