"James did a great job painting our home interior. I couldn’t be happier. Kept me in the loop on progress and was very professional. Walls look good as does the ceiling. Made sure furniture and floors were protected. And cleaned up throughout when finished. Finished project a day early! I would definitely recommend or use Pro Painting again. Side note- he found my husband wedding ring from a few years ago, when it flew off his finger while cooking! Never imagined it would be found. "

"Our closet in the master bedroom collapsed due to too many clothes and other things on the shelves. John contacted me immediately and arrived at our home several hours later. John did a wonderful job in repairing our closet. His price was very reasonable. I got his business card and will call him in future if we need any home repairs."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Hartville, OH

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
