"I was very happy with Apple Blossom Landscape Concepts. Harvey was very quick to respond to my call and set up an appointment to look at the yard. He did preliminary drawings and we changed a little bit of the design. Harvey answered my questions about the plant choices and I was happy with the plant choices. He also talked about the lighting design for the front of the house. When it came to installation, the workers were careful and did a nice job on planting. I was concerned about the closeness of some of the plantings and Harvey adjusted them to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Harvey and Apple Blossom Landscape Concepts."

"If you are deciding between contractors, stop thinking about it and hire Martins, I promise you will be happy with your decision. It is hard for me to put into words what an unbelievable job Martins did with our built ins and how much I enjoyed working with him. My wife and I were nervous because we had never done any sort work on our home and finding Martins was a godsend. In all honesty we are very picky and sometimes hard to work with (just ask our wedding vendors haha) but I cannot think of one thing we would have change in our experience working with Martins and how the built ins turned out. He is very good at what he does and just a very honest guy that you can trust with your project. He cared about how everything would look and function almost more than we did if you can believe that. His attention to detail was impeccable and is exactly what you want when you are making a big change to your living space. Every one of our friends that come over are in awe of our new built ins. Martins is a true artist!"

"It is difficult to write this critical review; however we wanted to share our experience with using this company as a warning for others to give careful consideration before you sign a contract with them. I reached out to this company as a result of seeing some of their positive reviews on Angie’s List. Our initial introduction to them began with me calling and speaking to the son Kurt. He asked how I heard about them and I told him via Angie’s list. He then asked if I could first submit a contact request via Angie’s List as he would receive some type of extra credit and then someone would reach back out. I agreed and submitted my inquiry via Angie’s List immediately. Several days went by without anyone contacting me so I had to call again and I spoke with Kurt again. We needed to get our front concrete porch, steps and walkway replaced. The Father (his name escapes me) came out to assess our situation and provided what seemed like a fair estimate for the services they would perform. We were also re-designing the shape and angle of the walkway in front of the front porch so I asked how that would work and he said no problem he would be there the morning the concrete would be poured and together we would mark off the final design. We signed the contract in May and we were told the concrete would be poured by early Summer. We then waited several weeks and did not receive any updates. Then each time we called to ask when the work would be performed we kept getting put off and there was always an excuse. The Father told us at least a couple of times he was not in the office so he did not have the schedule to provide an update. Hello why couldn’t he access the schedule electronically? By August we were really getting fed up with getting put off. We had a major landscaping project we wanted to complete before the weather turned cold and that could not be completed until this project was done. We also had a 2 week vacation coming up so definitely did not want to be out of town for when the concrete would be poured since we needed to agree on the final design of the walkway. They finally called one day in September and said the concrete would be poured the next morning at 7:30am. We both took time off from our jobs. By 8:30 am no one had showed up so we called what we thought was the office number. Kurt answered and when we told him what was going on he angrily stated he was busy at a job site and that we would have to call his Father and deal with him. He gave me the number to call his Father. The Father stated that “the people in the office” messed up and were supposed to call us to tell us our job had been rescheduled for the following morning. I seriously doubt there were any “people in the office”. The following morning the crew showed up. However neither Kurt or the Father were anywhere to be found. The man who appeared to be in charge barely spoke English. After the concrete was poured the leader asked for the balance of our payment. I could not believe they were asking for payment when the porch railing had not even been re-installed as that could not be done until the concrete had hardened. How could they demand payment when the job was not even finished? The City would then need to inspect and approve everything once the railing was re-installed. We finally got the Father to agree to let us pay once the railing was re-installed and everything passed the City’s inspection. The concrete was guaranteed for one year. Like clockwork shortly after one year later the concrete now has several chips and ruts in it and no, we have not used any salt on it. We have now learned that many concrete contractors wait until they get the best bulk deal on their concrete. Therefore since our job was small that is likely why they made us wait several months and kept putting us off. We really would have appreciated them being honest from the beginning with expectations due to the timing. We were extremely disappointed at the poor service they provided as well as with the final product/job. Kurt in particular was rude and unprofessional to say the least."
