"I cannot speak for all the concerns provided below, but these guys were great! Mike was consistent with the communication and Jack was very professional and on site daily to see the project through. I received 5 quotes from 5 different companies (including J. Sitko). After reviewing all the estimates, I initially decided to go with another company because they were a little cheaper than J. Sitko. However, after numerous attempts to gain clarity on the final price for the porch I wanted, the winning bid stalled me out. Unknown to J. Sitko, I initially wanted to do the job with them anyway based on how Jack explained the process and how diligent Mike was in providing reassurance as to how the project would go. Needless to say, what is suppose to happen... happened and I am glad I decided to go with them. Being home during the process allowed me to see the craftsmanship and care they put into building my porch. If there are any doubts or concerns with this company/crew, remove it and you will find out for yourself. There was no hassling to do the job or regarding payment. "If I could give this company higher than an A, I would. This was the best contractor experience I have ever had. The work they did is top notch. Not only do I have a sturdy, functional porch, but it looks fantastic too, and it was built to code. The porch faces the alley which is also a big neighborhood walking pathway. During Covid, numerous people have socially-distanced-stopped and complimented their work. I have already provided this company's information to people. Mike and Eddie were immediately responsive to my message asking for a quote and very timely in the whole process from meeting with me, providing me with a bid and answering questions. During our first phone conversation, they told me that they would build me a great porch and that I would be very happy with their work. They were right! Their price was consistent with other bids, and was more comprehensive in that they provided me with requested information regarding obtaining drawings and making sure it was to code. The were communicative, on time, nice, efficient and neat. They were also concerned that I was happy with the porch and asked me to let them know of any punchlist items. There were just a few very minor tweaks I asked for, and they came out immediately. I cannot say enough positive things about this company. It would be a pleasure to work with them again."

"What a fantastic deck and fence. All synthetic, lifetime guarantee, and they will come out as many times as needed to be sure you are happy with your product and service. Not the cheapest around, for sure, but you get what you pay for in most cases, this is one of those. Cedar and pressure treated wood decks and fences are a terrible investment; my deck and fence will look the same on day one as they do years from now when the wood deck or fence are being replaced for the 3rd or 4th time. Don't skimp, this is an investment you won't regret."

"We hired Rick and his team to install a Trex composite wood rooftop deck and porch and had a great experience. From start to finish, Rick was extremely communicative and transparent and always took the time to explain things to us in a way that was clear and helpful. Our condo had just had a new roof put down â which is why we had torn up our original roof deck and made plans to install a new one with composite wood â and Rick flagged a few soft spots that needed to be checked before installing heavy decking on top of them. This ultimately led to us discovering that our previous roofing contractors should have done a complete tear-off and replacement instead of putting down a new layer on top of the existing roof, adding unnecessary weight and sealing in a new layer of moisture (the latter of which was solely a result of their incompetence). Because we were anxious to get our roof deck back, and we wanted it done right, we had Rick's team tear up the 400-square-foot portion of the roof where the deck would be installed and put down a whole new roof. Sadly, the superior quality of their work compared to that of the previous roofers was immediately apparent. They then installed Trex Enhance Naturals Foggy Wharf decking on our roof and on the side porch off of our master bedroom and both look absolutely fantastic. We really appreciated Rick's attention to quality and safety â there are many contractors who would have put the deck down without bothering to make sure the roof underneath was sound. By taking the time to do things right, Rick saved us from having to deal with nightmarish leaks and structural damage a few years from now. Our HOA is currently going after the other roofing company for negligence but our plan is to eventually have Rick and his team fix the shoddy work that was done and install composite decking on the remainder of the roof. Rick also made recommendations about the various Trex product options that ultimately save us around $2,500, which we really appreciated. After several recent bad experiences with contractors, Rickâ s professionalism, candid communication and quality work were a breath of fresh air. We have already recommended him to friends and will definitely be using him again for future work."

What is interesting most is that other deck builders told me the wait during summer on a deck is 4 to 6 weeks because it is their busiest time of year and they only have two people who do it. Framar/Frackiel Builders says they put up so many decks and porches a week because they have so many different crews working in multiple locations throughout Chicagoland. They were able to start in 7 -10 days, the wait being mostly to obtain the Chicago Permit. The cost was less than other estimates AND the pleasantness of working with Framar/Frackiel Decks far surpassed anyone else with whom I've worked!"
