"The staff was friendly and professional however there appeared to have been a disconnect with the communication between the team which resulted in the kitchen sink not being secured, areas missing caulk and small section of my cabinets chipped off. These issues may stem from me being told that from one team that when the other team comes out, they will take care of it and when that team arrives, them stating "they don't do that". There are teams that work on taking the doors to the warehouse, countertop installers, etc..etc."

"The chair was petty much demolished due to an accident. (Don't ask.) Broke my heart too, because my grandma did the needlepoint and it was "always" in her home. No worries, John fixed her up right, repaired and refinished broken wood, repositioned needlepoint and dyed trim to match. We will sit more respectfully on it in the future, but we CAN sit and enjoy it, thanks to John. As others have mentioned, don't be impatient because it takes time to do good work. He is a true artist, and a respectful restorer. The cost was reasonable."

"Just bought the house.  Didn't want to rip out the well-built cabinets but they looked kind of dirty.  Other options were to paint the beautiful oak wood, but we really didn't want to do that either.  So, it came down to cleaning them.  At the end of the day the cabinets looked beautiful, clean, with sort of a semi-gloss finish.  Looked really good and for the price it was well worth it."

"We have a 1958 ranch and the only bathroom had never been renovated. We wanted to start from scratch down to the studs for a 5’ x 8’ footprint. Sales person was very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable in selecting the various components and colors for the bathroom. The contract was very clear and detailed. Payment expectations were 1/3 upfront, 1/3 at the start of the project, and 1/3 at completion. The shower install was completed by Bath Works, which had a 12 month same as cash financing for the shower portion only. HWC coordinated and selected the various trades involved, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, shower install, and painting. The start of the project was pushed back several times, but communication was good. The actual work process was expertly done. The workmen were respectful, cleaned up each day, and were highly skilled. My wife and I are so satisfied with the end result. It is like going to the spa everyday. We intend to renovate the kitchen and basement down the road, and will definitely be turning to HWC in the future."

"Overall had a great experience using Randy and Trent as the contractors for our basement renovation. Randy was very responsive and prompt coming out to give us a free estimate on the work required. He came out within the week to take measurements and draw up rough plans for the renovation. After a few days for him to get estimates on materials and sub contractors Randy came back to go over the details of the quote. He was very knowledgeable and upfront about what work he would be completing and what would be sub-contracted. We were on a tight time frame for when we needed the work completed by and Randy went out of his way to put us on the schedule quickly. In all honesty he kept to his time schedule the best he could, the major constraints were generally involved with scheduling from the sub-contractors (excavation for our egress window, plumbers, and electricians). We did have one run in and set back with one of the sub-contractors and Randy advocated for us, and made sure that we were taken care of. He handled it very professionally and made sure we were satisfied with the final work and resolution. We were very impressed with Randy's ability to stick to a budget, and to communicate if something we wanted done would be an extra (we had a lot of those extras!). Over our eight week renovation we grew to look forward to Randy and Trent's arrival. Always jovial and out going they never made us feel out of place in our own home. If anything, it was a bitter sweet day when they completed the work as we felt like the were almost family towards the end of the project. If you are looking for a hardworking, professional contractor with years of experience that does great work at a reasonable price, Home Maintenance Service is for you.
