"The details are each of many items were completed with care and the thought of always saving us money.  As an example, I had thought I need to replace an exterior door and security screen.  I had quotes from $1,000 to $2,000 for these doors.  John said doors did not need replacing and John fixed both doors of about $200.  Great service to us.  John did the repairs and replacements with great skill and speed which meant he could charge us less.  John even went shopping for supplies when we did not know what to get.  Again, John tried to do repairs rather than just replace for more money.  I told John that we will have a new list of repairs for after the holidays.  Thanks so much.  BTW, John is busy so you may have to wait for him to get you scheduled but worth the wait.  Also, I deal with contractors all the time and Johnthinks of his customers first. <br />"

"Sean and his foreman Chris did a great job of repairing all of the dry rot on my home (approximately 200 linear feet), priming the new lumber, caulking and sparkling all of the work, pressure washing the house, and repainting the house and gates. Sean also replaced my bathroom light fixture, repaired one of our outdoor faucets, removed all of our raingutters, and filled the gutter downspout holes in the sidewalk with concrete. Sean was able to contact a roofer to take up and replace the shingles that needed to be removed to do the repair work as well as a company to replace the gutters. The whole project took about 3 weeks. Thank you Sean and Chris--the house looks great!"

"After determining the location of the leak by our condo maintenance supervisor & determining it was my responsibility to fix  I contacted John (from his previous reviews on Angie's LIst).  He was prompt in returning my call. explained the "project".  He was able to schedule me w/in a couple of days.  He removed the toilet, tore out the bad drywall, measured, cut to proper dimensions the new drywall which was not especially easy as it had to fit around both the pipe behind the toilet and the flow valve.  John did a thorough <br /> inspection of all parts of the toilet ensuring "a bad wax seal" was really the problem.  In his investigation he found several of the rubber seals were severely worn and recommended replacing those parts as well.   <br />      After the toilet was out John had to cut out a portion of the back wall drywall which had become rotten due to the leak and replace it.  Due to it being an older toilet the drainage  pipe was on the back wall as was the shut-off valve.  The portion of drywall to be torn out and replace was around both of these obstacles.  It was an "interesting" fix but he figured it out, made precise measurements so the new drywall fit snugly and looked seamless after he finished.  Upon finishing the drywall he prepped that wall and another small wall for painting, and replaced the toilet.  <br />       All of John's work was meticulous and professional.   After the job was finished we chatted, finalized the bill, etc but before he went back upstairs to make double sure all was working properly. It was then he detected a small (almost insignificant) leak from the shut off valve.  That was unacceptable to him. He returned the following day replaced the shut off valve.  Here's the truly AMAZING PART ----- he called AGAIN the following day to make sure everything was now working properly and their were no new leaks!!!! <br />       John is a professional.  Takes pride in his work. <br />"

"Painting was done in a timely manner and professionally done. They powerwashed the house, sanded and repaired minor imperfections. Spray painted a oil base coat. The spray painted two coats of paint and rolled it after each coat. The they hand painted all the trim."

"He did fix and repair the various tasks assigned to him.  He did a decent job.  He worked unsupervised so he came and left and worked around his busy schedule while he attended to other jobs in between while finishing this project I assigned to him.  Therefore the job took longer than I expected.  He quoted me a rate higher than we originally agreed to and I felt he was taking advantage of me and the situation.  I did not like that style.  He started out great but it ended with great disappointment and a sour note. <br /> <br />"
