"We needed this company to test for residual mold buildup. The man who came out explained what the procedures are and what is involved and let me know of the exact nature of the outcome. They were prompt, professional, and very courteous. The testing was quick and efficient and the contractors were very quick and effective. A good experience, and I'd use them again."

"We found something looking suspicious while demolishing the roof of an old shed and decided to call Envirocheck. They came the next day on time at 8:30AM, took all necessary samples and gave us results within 24 hours. Luckily the asbestos test was all negative. I would recommend these guys any given day. They are super professional and responsive. Ten stars from our perspective!"

"<p>If you just want to get a report and no explanation or implications of the report, then I suggest you call Same Day mold testing because that's all you're going to get--a one page report.  NO explanation or follow up about the findings of the report.  However, if you want someone who is VERY knowledgeable in the area of molds and takes the time to explain to you about the process, then you want to call Chuck from One Source.  I wished I had called him the first time around, that way I would have had my mold issue resolved.  He is not only knowledgeable but seems very concerned for my well being.  I called him in the morning and he made his way over to my house later in the evening, going completely out of his way just to give me an inspection.  At the house, he took the time to explain the issue and was very patient with all my questions.  He not only explained everything in great detail but he wanted me to walk away understanding the entire process ie. mold remediation, testing, and insurance claims.   Don't let the purportedly HIGH reviews from the other mold testing facilities fool you, especially one day mold testing.  All they want is your money.  They don't care if you pass the mold test or not. Chuck wants you to pass the mold test and will do what it takes.  He's unlike anyone I've encountered in this kind of profession.  I can't say enough about him.  Please give him a call, you'll be glad you did. Your peace of mind will thank you.</p> <br />"

"This company was chosen by the a/c company installing our new a/c system and the cost for the asbestos removal was handled by the a/c company. <br /> <br /> Two workers arrived as scheduled and went right to work. One worker used regular masking tape to cover the a/c grills and I had to point out areas he missed. The procedure was explained to me and they responded to my questions. They wore white coveralls and masks as they worked in the crawl space where the ducts were located. When they were finished in the crawl space, they took off their coveralls and masks. They started to do the second part of the work which was to remove a big pipe with asbestos inside the house. I noticed one worker put on his white coverall and mask but the other worker did not. This inconsistency made me wonder how thorough/consistent they were with the work in the crawl space. (Fortunately, I had a separate company complete an air test after the removal.) The workers took away all the bags and informed me I will receive a certificate in a few weeks. They worked non-stop for about 4 hours. When they left I saw that they forget to put back the cover to the crawl space. After a few weeks, I received the certificate showing where the asbestos was taken. <br />"

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Hawaiian Gardens, CA

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
