" I am paid more than 80k to redo my pool house located in Mclean, VA. The pool never worked. Always green. Every time you call, they will send one cleaning crew for 180$, but the answer from them was that the pool will be better after a few days. After a few days, the pool is green, and you call again, and they will say our pool needs multiple cleanings, and they will do various cleanings and send various invoices. When cleaning, they say the pool will improve in a few days. After a few days, if you call to ask why the pool is green, they will say it's one more service. This pool was reconstructed, and the same company did the plumbing and machines. Please be careful when hiring this company complete rip-off. After ripping off, they will say customers do not know anything about the pool. This is the value they will give to the customer who paid around 80k "

We called Cesar and, even though he and his team are extremely busy this time of year, he sent a member of his crew by to replace the tiles. We continue to be pleased with Smart Pools 21, Cesar, and his team. We still have some work to do in our little piece of the world. We look forward to the next project with Cesar."

"Travis Lane made a great first impression when we initially met. It was apparent from his preliminary questions at the first site visit, that he cared about his clients needs. We have a small, tight backyard which was always wet so we hardly used it. Our goals were to install a swimming pool, resolve drainage issues and replace lawn with plants, and hardscaping. Travis Lane brought us a preliminary design that would fit our needs and our budget. His hardscape and swimming pool design was on point for our wishes and we made minimal changes to his primary drawings. Travis submitted his professional plans to the county and our HOA and they were easily approved. During the course of construction Travis Lane started on time and was always here when he said he would be here. We did hit more rock than expected during the excavation which increased costs beyond the contingency in the budget. This took us over budget but was unavoidable to get the pool we wanted. We were out of town during excavation and so didn't have to listen to the hammers that week. After enjoying for a year and a half now, we have so much more use of our backyard for all seasons. My husband uses the spa pretty much every day after his daily bicycle ride after work. The pool is a great way to cool off when its really hot in the summer too. Travis made a custom stone bench with gas fireplace. The year round use for this is awesome! Travis was also able to give us a small negative edge on the pool. This is a great place to sit next to and drown the sound of the neighbors out. The plants incorporated in the design are filling in very nicely and provide us with color throughout the growing season. Some shrubs/trees died after installation (which took place in hot weather) but they were replaced under warranty. A few of the replaced plants perished, and we are learning what thrives in different parts of the yard. We enjoy all the visiting pollinators, which we did not have before. All in all Travis was great to work with. He and his crews worked very hard and the craftsmanship is amazing. After a year and a half, we notice no wear in the paved patio, plaster, and masonry work. Early in the project we found times when Travis did not communicate plans well, but this improved over time. We would recommend him for a design and build project. The end results demonstrate real craftsmanship and the integrity of his work is evidence of his experience in the industry."

The entire project from first contact to completion was 7 days. Work was excellent and they gave me a $150 discount because they did not need backer rod for the project. "DO NOT use this company. I went through Lowes to have a composite deck built. Working with them was an absolute nightmare. It took them 3 months to even START the job. I discovered the reason for the delay is because when they filed the permit (which took them 6 weeks to do), the contractor's license was expired. It then took them another 5 weeks to update their license in order to get the permit. They ordered and installed a completely differently railing style than what was on the contract/design, then blamed me for the mistake. Rather than ordering a new product, they cut the existing one to make it work. I am now 9 months post project, and the railing has warped, the deck is sloped, and the overall quality is horrible. Worst of all, turns out they NEVER GOT IT INSPECTED! I learned that Lowes had to fire them due to MULTIPLE issues with the company. I am thankful I have Lowes to help rectify the issues, but if i didn't, I would be pursuing legal action against them!"

I live out of state and had tenants in the home and they worked on my preferred schedule. Took 5 days as promised. Easy to work with and very happy with the outcome."
