"Gomer Basave brought a team of three to four men to construct a 180 foot trench for proper drainage from the landscaped garden to the back of the property. It took six days to build the trench as well as lay the pipes and test the water flow. Throughout the construction, the team worked hard to create the trench and the work was supervised by visits from Basave to the site. Starting with the estimate and proceeding with the work, Gomer Basave was an approachable, responsible and honest contractor who worked with his team to complete the project. The job was not an easy job but Gomer and his crew worked continuously to create a trench that could transport water away from the house. We greatly appreciated working with Gomer and his crew and hope we have the chance to work with them again on other projects."

Reasonable pricing. We quoted about eight reputable contractors, and Geico B. cost estimation is one the more competitive ones. 2. Great PM and communication: Our PM Carlos and Jean is such a joyful, communicative, and accommodating professional. They made the whole process much easier. 3. Great foremen and workers: they showed up daily, worked hard, and generally kept the area as tidy as possible. Our foreman Delmar is very experienced and also a great person to work with. The work quality seems great too (tile work is amazing up to a small details). 4. Our Pavers & Retaining walls and all Lanscaping looks amazing I can’t wait to start to play our favorite game which was proposed to install by Jean thank you for the best idea ever. "Tony was very expert and skilled in all of the things we needed. We started with a bare yard and he laid out stamped concrete, plants, an extensive drip system, 12 volt lighting with timers, and two 110 circuits. He also installed french drains for drainage, and constructed a wooden gazebo kit. He was easy to work with and had many good ideas of his own. He was also prompt and complete. We are very happy."

"I sent him this: Hi Pablo, I want to make sure we are on the same page and my apologies for any misunderstandings. Original quote was for $1,800. Then changed to $2,100 for using Rain Bird products. We agreed Which I listed in a text on Jun 25, that I wanted specific valves, controller/timer and a rain sensor. Then you started the work and an addition $200 was added for repairs/leaks, bringing the total to $2,300. We agreed. We sent you $1 to confirm Zelle was correct and then Zelle'd $1,150, which was 50% of the $2,300. When you came out to install the correct controller/timer, I asked about adding Zone 8. You said it would be $250. I sent you a text, July 2, requesting a $100 charge for the Zone 8 valve, and you would not need to install the Rain Sensor. We spoke on the phone today July 3, in the am regarding some leaks and you said, $150 would be fine for Zone 8. You installed Zone 8, added 2 more sprinkler tops/units for $15 each and a receipt for $38.86. We sent a Zelle today (July 3) for $1,368.86. That would have been the remaining $1,1150, $30 for 2 additional sprinkler tops/units, $150 install for Zone 8 and the $38.86 receipt. The 2 sprinkler head/units, we did discuss today, are incorrect, because they water the wall and you would replace those. If I missed something, please let me know. It's important to me, to make sure you have been paid correctly. I would still like to hire you to add a shut off for the top 4 valves and add additional drip system, to make sure all the plants are being watered."

"I just cannot say enough in praise of Highland Landscaping. I have done many projects in my lifetime, and I was a contractor before retirement, so I know how things typically go. I don't think I've ever seen a job go as well. The owner, Lee, along with his crew member Manuel, impress me in so many ways. When Lee first bid the job, he had lots of great ideas not just about the overall design and work, but also ways to save me money. He did not take a deposit up front, and only a small one when the job started. From there he billed based on the completed portion of the job and never came back for more money when complications came out of the blue for him. About the schedule, Lee said they would be there every day until the job was done, and he was right. They arrived on time daily and never left a mess. It is said that any construction process is painful for the owner, but that if a job is well done the pain quickly fades. With Highland landscaping, there is no pain in the first place.
