"We had lost two large oak trees on our property and had five other mature oak trees with large "widow makers" high up. The dead trees would be felled, but no stump grinding was required. Four Angie's List tree services and 1 non-Angie's List service were contacted for quotes. All but one made an appointment to come out to our home, evaluate the task, and provide a quote. We selected Gordon Frazier Tree Service for our job. Gordon responded promptly and came out within a few days to give us a quote. We found Gordon to be very professional, easy to work with, and made good suggestions that helped to lower the cost of the job, which was a very competitive one. We liked that Mr. Frazier would be on-site and oversee the agreed upon work the entire time. Our dead trees and several of the trees with dead limbs were near our buried septic tank and sewer lines running to the septic field. Other tree services were still interested in using large bucket trucks as much as possible, while avoiding these areas. But Gordon Frazier eased our concerns by not using any heavy bucket trucks. Instead each tree was climbed by an individual using ropes who would remove limbs and trunk in pieces, tying the larger pieces to ropes so they could be gently lowered to the ground. The job was completed in one day. Overall they did an excellent job and we are very happy with their work. They arrived at the appointed time, performed all the agreed upon work as quoted, removed limbs and branches by chipping them, and cleaned up afterwards. We definitely would hire them again, and recommend them to everyone."

"From beginning to end it went really well. Greg is a walking encyclopedia of trees and good practical advice on how to manage them. His proposal was clearly written and lower than two other firms. The crew was right on time, wasted no time getting set up and taking the tree down, and removed a large limb from another tree that fell while they were working on the dead tree. They climbed up about 50 feet in a twin trunk tree and installed a cable between the twins to help stabilize the lesser twin. Very pleased with them, enough to recommend them to my neighbor who also used them for a dead tree in their front yard."

"Excellent service from responding for an estimate to job completion. Mr. Harmon and his crew removed nine (9) trees in a townhouse community. The trees were in various stages of falling with huge branches over the community parking areas, light posts and sidewalks. They came on time, cleaned up each area as they completed the work, and checked with me to see if there were any concerns during the process. The estimate was very good and it was what the final job cost. Everyone was professional and courteous, and I highly recommend!"

"I contacted five tree removal companies to provide an estimate. The Greentree guy (I am sorry he verbally told me his name, but I have forgotten it).I provided him with my list of what exactly I wanted done and I accompanied him around the yard pointing out the trees and discussing the job. He seemed to know what he was talking about and provided me with what I thought was useful information. When we were finished, he verbally gave me an estimate and gave me some information about Greentree's schedule and openings. I thanked him for his time and he left. The estimate he gave me was the lowest estimate I received, however it was not written down nor did he provide me with any supporting paperwork like all the rest. It may just be me but I was someone uncomfortable with this approach to business. It may have worked out perfectly well if I had decided to go with Greentree, and maybe they are so busy they don't need to be more business like. In any case, despite the low estimate, I was just not comfortable with Greentree. Other's may feel differently."

"I contacted Willie to have an azelea tree trimmed. Willie let me know right away it was best to wait to trim the tree until it was no longer blooming. I appreciated him being honest. Willie checked my other trees and let me know they were being eaten away by caterpillar nests. Willie and his team did an excellent job of trimming down those trees and cleaning up the nests. They arrived on time and were very professional. They cleaned up all the debris and left my yard as clean as they found it. I highly recommend Willie for your lawn care needs. He did and excellent job for me and I know he will do the same for all of his customers."

"Tysons was excellent. Called on a Saturday about getting a quote for removing two medium sized that were leaning toward a neighbors house. Mark came out on Sunday afternoon and gave me a reasonable quote for removing them, as well as grinding down an old stump. By the next day, Monday at 2pm, the Tysons crew of five or six guys, a crane, a wood chipper, and a truck to remove the big logs were at my house. They took each tree out in two pieces, using the crane to lift the trees over my house and between a narrow gap between my and my neighbors house. It was tricky work, and they did a great job. The crew cleaned up carefully, and by the time there were finished removing the trees at 4pm there was barely any sign they had been there. The stump grinding was postponed because my yard was muddy, and Tysons was concerned rolling the 5,000lb stump grinder to the back yard would damage the lawn. Tysons will be back when the ground is firmer to finish. All in all, Tysons did great work on a very quick timeline for a reasonable price. Highly recommend using them (two of my neighbors already asked for Mark's number)."
