He advised me based on my usage, I should get cleaned more frequently. I asked about the rust from the rain. He told me to use steel wool, but then to make sure I painted it, because if I didn't paint, it would cause problems when I used the fireplace. They have the proper type of paint. "I noticed a water stain on the first floor ceiling of my cape cod style house. Based on a recommendation from a friend I contacted Quality Home Improvements and Susan came out. She quickly determined the problem was likely flashing around one of my dormer windows on the second floor. I also asked her opinion about a section of roof that appeared to have inadequate ventilation and decided to install additional vents. Also upon looking at the roof she suggested replacing some degrading flashing around a vent pipe on the roof. I also expressed my concern about the overall condition of the roof and she told me it looked fine. I was impressed by this assessment since a less than honest contractor could have tried to sell me a new roof. Due to recent storms they were backed up with work, but she still gave me a time frame as to when the work could be done. Soon thereafter her work crew happened to be doing work at a neighbor's home and they realized my house was next door. So while working on the neighbor's house a couple workers came over and fixed my roof. Overall I was very pleased with her assessments and recommendations. Her suggestions were fair and reasonable. She clearly sees the value in building a long-term relationship with the customer."
