"Bought the $58 diagnostic/repair deal from E Appliance.  Set up a date/time.  Office lady was helpful in that when I had to reschedule the date she did so with no problem.  Joseph came out (about 10 minutes after the scheduled window) and gave us an honest diagnostic: our oven is very old (50 years maybe?) and the needed parts are no longer available.  That's all we needed to hear because now we get to have it replaced by our home insurance!  Quick and tidy service.  Thanks!

"Ricky went above and beyond to ensure my repair was done in a timely and excellent manner. He ordered parts, talked me through options, and demonstrated he had my best interest in mind. He was open about the options and creative about what could be done and how. After various trips for parts and hours spent on the project we came up against an impossible situation. The washing machine bolt was stripped and cutting it would mean leaving a part of it in the washer transmission, which would ruin the washing machine. So, Ricky communicated that he wouldn't be able to fix it and that he was sorry about the time invested in the project. UMC Appliance Repair Co. arrived a little late but they called to say they were delayed on a previous job. When they arrived, I told the technician about the noise.  After inspecting the unit, he say that the condenser coil was extremely dirty and he recommended an acid wash.  He asked when the unit had last been serviced.  Since it had been a while since I had had a basic service, I told him to go ahead.  He also said I was a little low on freon so I told him to top it off.  These services added an extra $310 to the Angie's Big Deal.
The AC unit is on the roof.  The technician assured me that the acid wash would not hurt the roof or the plants in my yard.  In order to avoid future acid washes, he recommended servicing the unit 2 times a year. 
The air conditioner is running quietly and efficiently now.  I was unhappy with my old AC service so I will certainly use UMC Appliance Repair in the future.

"I reached out to Yelp! and to Angie's list for this small job (retrieve small oven door screws that got loose and fell into the oven door.) Only 2 service providers would do this job. CR Appliance called me first, gave me a verbal estimate, and we booked the repair appointment date & time. The other one emailed me, but I like the fact that CR Appliance called me and therefore he got the job. Eugene came within the scheduled time and my tenant said he did a good job. I got the invoice a few days later with a slightly different price (not significant) and paid it. That's my only complaint."
