"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"I really cannot say how highly I recommend this company! My washing machine was acting up, one load it would be fine the next load, wouldn't spin water out properly and would leak a small amount of water. I phoned Rand C (my neighbors recommended them). The woman (Karen or Carolyn I think) who took my call was very helpful, it was 4:pm when I phoned. She took my information along with the details of what was wrong with the w machince. She kindly told me a technician would call me first thing in the morning and let me know when he would be here. Bob called @ 8am the next morning. He was so extremely kind and honest!! He explained to me about the washing machine I had and that I was lucky to have gotten the years I had from it. And that I would really be best served to put the money towards purchasing a new machine rather than having him coming out to look at it and then basically charge me the $65 service call fee to tell me it would be anywhere from a minimal $150 to several hundreds. And if we fixed one problem I would most likely be facing many problems ahead with this machine (granted this was a machine that I had had for about ten years paid about $500 for). He offered to help any way he could and when I was ready to purchase a new one he would glady offer any advise or help if I wanted. I thanked him very much for his honesty and for not just showing up at my door for the service call charge (like a lot of companies would have)!
I started researching washing machines that day, I called Bob 4 SPERATE TIMES about different models. Each call I made he was patient and most helpful! In todays world, most people would have gotten annoyed by my 4th call especially since I hadn't paid him anything. Bob never once sounded annoyed or put out. I purchased a new washing machine that day. I am extremely thankful and will always use and recommend Rand C Appliance for any appliance repairs I will have in the future! Thank You so very Much!!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!"

"Came all the way from Oxford on ONE call and did what he said he would

do. This place is a real plumbing outfit that will handle your problems

in a timely manner and very professional and will complete the job. I

went through two other plumbers that couldn't fix what these guys fixed

in a couple of hours. Very pleased with the work and I am going to have

them complete a couple of more jobs in the future for me. If you need

a real plumber and a class act, these are THE ones to call."

"Very well. Their goodwill has earned my determination to go to their website next time I need replacement appliance parts. In fact I already have another part for our dryer on order from them."

"Bobby was fast, friendly, and when unable to find our home, good about the phone call.Once here, Bobby was extremely quick, got right to work. Unfortunately we have a part that is not worth repairing (cost of repair vs new is too small), but at the same time Bobby was honest in that: he did what he could to at least get the machine running, and suggested we use it until it dies.
I was pleasantly surprised by his honesty in the regard. So, all his coming out cost was the basic service call. We got a honest bit of information, and he didn't waste our time or our money. I would highly recommend Bob's Appliance for anyone needing work, and would use him again if I needed to do so."

"Called at 4:30 and Tommy was at my house in 45 minutes. He diagnosed the problem (bad starter on the condenser) and replaced the part in less than 30 minutes. Tommy was friendly, explained what happened and what he did to fix the problem. Best repair experience I've had in a long time. I'll definitely use him for work in the future if I have any other problems."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Highlands, NC

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
