"We started off by getting bids from four separate contractors. Stan's bid was somewhere in the middle price wise but I find that it isn't always best to go with the lowest bid. Some contractors will give you low bids just to get their foot in the door, leaving things out like permits etc.. I felt Stan gave an honest and well thought out price. I also like to see what kind of vibe I get from a contractor when I'm speaking with them. If they seem like a used car salesman, just telling me what I want to hear, then that's a great indicator to avoid at all costs. I didn't get that vibe with Stan at all. He seemed very honest and to the point which I like. 
Once contracts were signed the project started and went very smoothly. Stan projected, if I remember correctly, that it would take around six weeks for the conversion and that's about how long it took. I've heard horror stories from other people about contractors disappearing, during a project, for long lengths of time and taking forever to complete the project but I can tell you this was not the case with Stan and Superior Building Concepts.  Every time I sent Stan an email with a question/concern it was addressed immediately, and, as was stated earlier, our garage conversion was completed in the projected time frame. 
Ultimately, working with Stan and Superior Building Concepts was a great experience. The garage conversion looks great and has become a heavily used addition to our home. I would recommend Superior Building Concepts to anyone seeking a contractor and would/will definitely use them again.

"We completed an extensive remodel in the finishing of our basement. This included structural work which required moving multiple structural supports. The group was professional and competent. The design plans were finalized working with Mike B. who had good ideas, was organized and very pleasant. The majority of the work was performed by our contractor Josh who was highly capable, attentive to detail and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The supervising contractor Mike M. was great and he was in contact throughout the job As is typical for any major remodel, some issues came up, specifically with the subs, and Josh and Mike M. were there to make sure that issues were resolved in a fair and appropriate manner. He listened and was very open and useful with his suggested alternative to my desired approach to... indeed I have opted for his likely equally costly but much less destructive resolution. I live in a small 1970's vintage home with a "galley style kitchen. It also has a closet style laundry that shares a wall with the kitchen directly behind the refrigerator. My frustration rested in the vintage of my kitchen in that it doesn't accommodate todays much larger refrigerators. Can't speak to his actual skill or I'd rated him "A".....likely  "A+".

I wanted to "stack my laundry services which would allow sufficient room to move the wall behind the refrigerate back such that I could buy a new much deeper refrigerator. His suggestion pointed to the cost of moving some plumbing and electrical along with the expansive task of moving the wall but not the cabinets.

His suggestion involved swapping the location of the refrigerator with a section of cabinets of the same width and forgoing the deeper refrigerators with one simply taller. As I said these units are unjustly expensive, but it is a solution that both opens up the kitchen and gets me a newer more spacious refrigerator.

I plan on using his suggestion but given his approach is so very much simpler, I'm doing it myself..... saving me likely most of the increase in the cost of this non-standard refrigerator or if you will it is an option that will definitely save me over $500. all in.

So, honest, caring, polite, creative, knows his craft, and is not totally watching the bottom line. He lost the work but saved me significant distress, time and money!!!!

"Paliy Construction replaced our vinyl and carpet with LVP floor on our whole first floor and also remodeled our master bathroom to make our shower room bigger with new wall tiles, glass door, shower header, toilet, and LVP floor.
