"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

"This company is a fraud and will steal your money from your account and not provide any services! Ask me how I know? Because I am a living witness I informed them the system was not working and it was blacked out and service was not needed anymore. Yet they continued to withdrawal money from my account. I hope the money they have taken from a single mother striving to provide for her kids was useful and given to someone who has less than what I have at this moment. Who just takes from people and sleeps good at night this company? Run far away do not engage in their services it’s BS! Laura was the customer service agent who giggled as I told her how inhumane they were and has been very unhelpful throughout this process. Money was paid but I did not get any services for months they have taken my money."

"The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."

"I do not understand how this company's Angie's list has any good reviews. They come door to door selling their services and equipment under Brinks while operating as Onit. The salesman were nice but everything that succeeded this was less than stellar. It is nearly impossible to reach their customer service and "Lou" the salesman who had helped me ended up ignoring my calls and text messages after a month long exchange that had never resolved. He had promised that Onit will send a rebate buying out the contract for the previous security company that my family had been using. I would have never switched over to Onit had I known that this was never going to be followed up with. On top of the equipment cost I had to pay 19.99 for the monitoring service with Onit and 39.99 for my previous service for the next year that I can no longer use since they had uninstalled the previous hardware. I had paid for my equipment within 6 months of the 2 year contract to avoid any interest fees but had nearly immediately canceled my monitoring service afterwards as I don't want to support a company with such scummy business practices and poor customer service. I've only come to find out today that they have lost ALL records of my cancellation the previous year and have sent me an invoice for the "last 12 months of service" that I had received. My SECOND cancellation was easy and Maribel was able to help me the same day but I am still extremely upset with having to deal with this company again after I thought they were out of family's problems. Do yourself a favor and get a Ring alarm and avoid this company like the plague."
