"I live in the Ft. McAllister community of Richmond Hill, GA, and on Sunday evening, November 23, 2014, all of my toilets stopped flushing and water began backing up in my bathtubs. In addition, water was spewing from under the base of the toilet in the master bath. After quickly checking Angie's List reviews for plumbers, I called Mr. Rooter where I left a message with the answering service for someone to call me as soon as possible. They told me that some would call me back within 10 minutes. After an hour, no one had called, so I called Mr. Rooter's answering service again. It was about 10 PM by this time. In less than 5 minutes Mark called me back and apologized for not calling me back sooner. He explained that he had missed the text from his answering service and again apologized for calling me sooner. After explaining to Mark the situation, we agreed that the situation was under control to the point it could wait until the next day for attention. By that time I had got the water to stop flooding the bathroom and things were much more manageable at that point. Mark promised to have someone out the next day and stated they would call before heading to Richmond Hill.

The next day I received a call from Mr. Rooter, explaining that a technician would be out by 3:00 PM, maybe sooner. At 1:00 PM I received a call from Taylor Flake, Plumbing Technician, stating that they were on the way. The plumbers arrived at 1:45 PM. When I received the knock at my door I was greeted by Terry, who introduced himself and stated that he was there to address my plumbing issues. Terry was accompanied by Taylor Flake and it became readily apparent that Terry was a trainee and Taylor was training him to become a plumbing technician. Taylor was very professional and seemed competent in all areas. On the other hand, Terry, was very unsure of himself and obviously confused about everything going on. It took them a few minutes to find the drain clean-out outside and, with Taylor's patient instruction, they were able to clean the clog from the main line from my house to the septic tank.

Terry and Taylor then proceeded inside the house where they addressed the blown wax seal under the master bath toilet. Taylor, doing his job as a trainer, allowed Terry to take the lead and, while I am ignorant of most things plumbing, it soon became obvious that Terry had no clue what he was doing, and seemed very clumsy in his attempt to address the situation. I was a bit disturbed by the fact that when Terry pulled up the toilet to replace the seal, he put the toilet right back down in the same spot without making any attempt to clean the accumulated yellowed crud up from under the toilet. Ultimately, though, Taylor had to completely redo everything Terry had done since Terry had improperly installed the bolts at the base of the toilet, which meant pulling the toilet back up. This, however, gave me an opportunity to grab a rag and clean the crud up from the toilet footprint before they set it back down.
Another noteworthy observation is the fact that when both plumbing techs walked into my house, Taylor wore paper booties to prevent tracking dirt and crap inside my house. Terry, on the other hand, wore nothing over his shoes and tracked black clods of dirt through the house and on the carpet. I had to vacuum (twice) after they left.

Prior to leaving Taylor Flake provided a courtesy walk-through and examined all the plumbing inside my house, including the water heater in the attic. I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge.

In summary, I was very satisfied with the plumbing performed by Taylor and Terry of Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Honestly, I'm not sure if Terry has the aptitude for being a plumber. He struggled with every task, from cleaning out the drain, to replacing the wax seal in the toilet, to writing the bill. Fortunately, Taylor took over these tasks and did a good job. Both plumbing techs were intensely polite and courteous throughout their appointment. The final bill was $298, which is certainly reasonable, considering Mr. Rooter, as a company, was very prompt about responding to my plumbing needs and effectively addressed my issues.

I must add, though, that after Taylor and Terry left, the toilet they had worked on began dripping from the water connection. I did not call them back since it is something I will attempt to resolve myself. Right now, I have a cup behind the toilet catching the steady drip drip drip from the main water connection.

Will I call Mr. Rooter again for my plumbing needs? ? YES! Would I recommend them to friends needing plumbing work? ?. again, the answer is YES!

"

"
They performed the work and did a good job. They were the least expensive out of all the companies I called. They did a tremendous job and I was pleased. I was very impressed with the professionalism and the staff. They had the best price and the best staff. They were good enough for me. Their was one guy in their crew that just retired from the marines and he had a crusty mannerisms that does not quite fir in public interpose. I understood the situation and he did do a good job. I would use them in the future.
"

"We had corroded sewer pipe under our slab, Jeremy and JT jackhammered up a 9 foot trench in the kitchen and some on the porch to replace the pipe. Jeremy is very professional, knows his business, and went the extra mile to do a great job. They backfilled the holes and tapped the sand down well and replaced the cement. They are not cement people so if you have the same issue where it will be visible you might want to hire cement people to replace the slab. They did a good job but not as smoothed as it could have been. In my case no problem as it is all hidden under the cabinet, stove, and refrigerator. They are honest and want you satisfied with the job. Recommended!"

"These guys came out to Edisto Island to clear my wooded lot for residential construction. They installed a gravel covered culvert at the road and removed trees and stumps. They also hauled them off. They did a great job at a fair price and timely manner. These guys really know what they are doing and I highly recommend them. I will definitely use their services in the future."
