Scott from Jack of All Trades did a great job repairing the plumbing, testing to make sure it was fixed and no other leaks existed, and repairing the drywall so it looked like it never happened. While he was at it we also tossed a few extra items from the honey-do list and they were fixed like it was nothing. You can tell these guys have a ton of experience, they knew all the tricks to fix everything far easier than I expected. I'd have them back to work on my house again without a second thought."

She went over my project in detail and said that this kind of technical work would probably be best served by a company that specializes in this cable and ethernet install. Did all new framing and even got me a great deal on the fence boards from a local supplier rather than paying over double at the big box stores. "Have hired the Home a Team for about 4 years running to do gutter or roof cleaning. Have always had good experiences & our most recent experience maintained that trend. In December, we took advantage of one of their Fall Specials to have them remove leaves from our (steep, composite) roof, clean the gutters and (woot!) clean the 1st & 2nd fl. windows, solar tubes & skylights. Also apply a zinc phosphate moss treatment. Because it was December, owner Bob let me know that the work was dependent on above-freezing temperatures and, indeed, the week of our job, temps dropped so we rescheduled but that was all communicated clearly & easily. I was fine with that (the only person who needs to be scampering around my roof in the snow is Santa) and we just postponed things a week. (Home Team sends a PDF with comprehensive info on what to move, what to cover, etc. to prepare for roof and/or gutter cleaning, well in advance of the job). On the appointed day, Juan showed up right on time. He was friendly, conscientious and worked very hard all day. The roof looks great (thoroughly cleaned) the gutters flow freely and the windows & skylights are sparkling. While Juan was working on the back of the house, he noticed there a slippery film on our composite deck so offered to clean that off as well. It was a much appreciated bonus. The work was finished by early afternoon and Juan and I walked the yard to be sure I was satisfied. I was. Clean up was thorough. It was a good experience and I am happy to recommend the Home Team to others."

"We came home to find that the front door had been kicked in- the door itself was intact but the framing around the deadbolt area was not. Our house was built in 1900, and that deadbolt and lock area had been messed with many times over the years leaving that area pretty vulnerable.
I looked on Angie's list and called Mr. Handyman. He came out, assessed the damage, and had to cut into the framing and replace a section. I had already removed the interior trim -it is old and basically irreplaceable.
The work done was great-- the replacement pieces were put in carefully.
When I went to put the interior trim back I decided, since that framing had been pieced, that I would feel better if I put a metal mending strip that went past the replaced piece. It just made me feel more secure.

Thankfully, it wasn't as big a problem as it could have been. He was able to fix it a couple days later. His price was reasonable. We will definitely call him first when we're ready to replace our deck. He was very professional.

He and his team were very thorough and detail oriented in the work they did - in addition to the paint, they patched up various imperfections and removed a couple of shelves I did not want to keep.
