"When we first called Carl for a garage shelving estimate, he said he was in the area and would be by within an hour. We talked with him about what we'd like to have built and where we'd like it. He completely understood our needs, asked some intelligent questions, gave some valuable advice, and gave a good estimate for labor costs. He'd buy and bring the material to do the job and provide us with the receipt so we could reimburse him. We set a date for the next week. He arrived on time along with his adult son and all the materials he had bought for us plus all of his work gear. They set to work unloading our garage shelves (most of which were already containerized and boxed) into the middle of the garage floor. They worked very hard and very smart. The shelving was done perfectly on all three sides of the garage exactly like we had requested. They loaded our new shelves back up exactly where we wanted things and left some for us to do on our own at our request. They were very courteous, kind, efficient, and did an outstanding job. We've already asked Carl to come back and do some work for the interior of our home.

"Perfectly is the best description.  Due to the scope of the job, it took 2 very full and long days for them to complete the job. But now my home is fully protected from hurricanes. (I also bought impact resistant garage doors, but not from this company because they don't sell them,) 
After having an in-home consultation, I went to the company's showroom/production facility, and got a tour of their headquarters.  I learned probably more than I needed, but I was about to spend a great sum of money, and wanted to check out the company in advance.  I needn't worry: their installation was flawless. 
They arrived on time, a team of 2 men, who promptly went to work setting out their materials and tools.  They were also dressed appropriately, showing respect.  I watched them install some of the accordion shutters, and saw the workmanship as they removed and then installed the new impact resistant glass at the front door and n the kitchen.  Once the job was completed, they taught me how to operate each shutter, waited patiently as I tested out each panel shutter, and we closed and then re-opened all of the accordion shutters on the house. 
As they recommended, a year after the installation, I hired them to service the shutters:  they close and re-open the accordion shutters, lubricate the moving parts, and remove and reinstall the screws in the ground to ensure they'll work properly when needed. I could have done this myself, but I preferred to leave it to the professionals. 
I have highly recommended this company to everyone who mentions hurricane protection.  They are dependable, professional, certainly cost-efficient, honest, and I would definitely hire them again if I move.

"they were very prompt and professional to visit and do the free estimate. They took a bit longer than anticipated to build the fence, and the sales person completely detached from me once the contract was signed. There was no follow up from him or the company as of the status of the installation unless I initiated it with a phone call. They gave me a day's notice as I requested, but I think I only knew they were coming because I asked.
The day of the job, two men showed up, but a couple hours later I realized there was only one man working. I came out to bring him water and found out the other person was only there to help deliver the material, but he would be working alone because his assistant was hurt on a job recently and is not back yet. For this reason he took a day and a half to finish (which I think was remarkable), but he said under normal circumstances they would have been done in a day for sure.
The gentleman was attentive, courteous, and certainly a hard worker. 
When he finished, there was a lot more lose dirt around the site than I anticipated, but I have to assume that if two people were working, the site would have been left much cleaner, so I don't hold this against him. Overall, I think he did an excellent job. The fence is very straight and looks very neat. They used stainless steel on the gate locks for durability, which is a plus. 
I got a quote from another company for this same job, and a third one that I made an appointment with never showed up for the estimate. SFR offered a competitive price against the other, about $400 less. I am not overly excited and impressed by their customer service, but I would hire them again if I needed this type of service.

"Problems at first were they set to start the job on 7/5 and complete on 7/6. They showed up 5 days early and wanted to leave their trailer with supplies on it parked in the front yard. It was later determined they would take the trailer and return the following Monday to start the work. Additionally, they were to have someone come out and mark off the buried cables, pipes, etc., which was never done. Telephone calls after that changed the installation back to 7/5 and that it would be complete in two days. Wednesday 7/5 came, removed old fence left in the front yard and driveway, started install. Return Thursday, continue on install and did not have driveway gates. To return Friday to complete, but were unable to complete. They did remove old fence at end of the day. Supposed to return Saturday but was put off until Monday 7/10, later called and advised they could not come. Returned on 7/11 to finish fence but forgot to bring the walk through gate. They returned with the gate after lunch and completed the job. The only real problem was the scheduling issues, the work it itself was completed satisfactorily. I would use them again, but would have them be more definite on their scheduling."
