"Andrés was prompt, did a great job, and was reasonably priced. I scheduled him to come back and complete a few other small jobs around the house. He was personable and professional. I would highly recommend him. "

Customers say: Quick response

"Working with Impact Painters went so smoothly! Loved the crew, very helpful and caring of our long time family lake home. Took the interior walls/ceilings/doors/windows from an old wood look to a fresh white which absolutely brightened the place up!"

"This project was a failure! I was told it would take a couple of weeks to strip and refinish my 70+ year old dining set. Almost 2 months later I get a half done project back. I was told Ben developed a reaction to the stripping material and he didn?t know when he could finish it. I was done with waiting. Picked up the set today and as you can see by the pictures the chairs are a mess. After spending over $1000. I need to find someone else to clean up his mess. He calls himself an artist ? Totally furious with the work and service! I would not hire ?the artist? to do anything."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Hollis, ME

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
