"First I want to say that Angie's list works very well as I chose Eagle Concrete based on all their positive reviews. Having said that I can honestly say I could not have made a better choice. Wagner, who is the owner of the company, personally came out to give me the estimate. Not only did he come as scheduled, but he was very helpful in guiding me through the process of what I wanted to do and the best way of doing it. Having answered all my concerns and also getting a very fair estimate for the work to be done I decided to use him. Work started about two weeks later as he was finishing other jobs and had to get my permit. This was not an issue as his assistant Carla kept an open line of communication and kept me updated on progress. It is so rare to be able to get a response back on the same day! As for the work done: his people came first thing in the morning as scheduled and worked diligently the entire day removing asphalt and prepping. Next day was inspection and the following day was lime rock and paver delivery. Following day a crew of 5 plus Wagner began installation. It's amazing how fast and organized his team is as they managed to install pavers in one full day. The following day after pressure washing , they applied two coats of clear coat. The job came out AMAZING! It has given my house a brand new look. I can only say that if you are looking to redo your driveway give Wagner a call.. He has many positive reviews for a reason! Thank you Wagner and I will be calling you soon for my backyard patio!

From my initial meeting with Kevin & throughout the resurfacing process it has been very positive. Kevin is straight forward, provides helpful recommendations & gave a competitive estimate at our initial meeting. The 3 Bluewater Teams (prep, install & 30 day pool water maintenance) did high quality work, good clean up & answered my questions with a smile. Kevin was engaged in all stages to ensure the work met his standards. In addition to the pool resurfacing, pool light/skimmer replacements + a 5x6’ bench seat was added. "Everything seems to start off great. I was led to Celtic Pavers based on the reviews here on angieslist. Jim was kind enough to come out the same day to assess my driveway and backyard because he was in the neighborhood. Jim arrived when he said that he would, we talked for a little while, he gave me some ideas and he took some measurements. This was a Friday afternoon.
He said that he would have a quote and associated drawings back to me "when I wake up in the morning on Monday" I sent my survey to Jim on sunday afternoon which caused a delay in getting back the drawing. Later that same week I called JIm to follow up on where the quote and drawing was. He said that since I had waited to provide the survey, he couldn't have it to me by Monday morning as he originally said that he would. But, he said, "I'll have it to you when you wake up in the morning on Saturday". Sure enough saturday rolls along and no quote and no drawing. He said that he hadn't provided the drawing because it was kinko's fault.
To make a long story short, it took almost 2 weeks to get a quote, and almost a month later I still have no drawing. 
Jim is actually a really nice guy, and apologetic when I called him to remind him that I was awaiting on his drawing. He said, "oh shoot, you are right, my fault, I will have it to you later this afternoon". This was after almost a month of waiting for it. 
In short, I like Jim as a person but he really didn't follow through so obviously I can't recommend him. 
Playing devils advocate here, my home is located in Miami Shores and Jim is out of Fort Lauderdale, so it may be that Jim just wasn't all that interested in allocating resources to my job all the way in Miami. Either way, I'll move on and use another contractor.
