The plumber who originally fixed the leak cut out the ceiling to fix the leak, but was not able to reinstall it. We hired Josh to replace the ceiling. He did an excellent job. He was punctual and polite, and kept me looped in on the entire project. He got my sign-off on all of his decisions and ran pricing by me when he needed to buy supplies. "First of all, this review was not requested by the company.  Although the installation of our windows and doors was done in fall of 2012 we waited to post the review to see how the windows were during winter / rain season.
We got quotes from 5 different companies in the SF Bay Area and we decided to go with Five Star Windows for new construction installation of 9 windows and 3 doors in an existing stucco house. Five Star Windows offer was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. As the company sells several brands of windows Jeffrey Pickard, the owner, did not push a particular brand. Jeffrey was most thorough in his explanation of the different types of windows available and which would fit our requirements. 
We decided to buy Milgard Tuscany windows (lifetime warranty).
After all our research, I believe the best window is one that not only meets your budget and energy needs but a professional and proper installation. Five Star Windows Company comes with window installers certified by AAMA (American Architectural Manufactures Association) meaning its installation specialists are trained on windows installation techniques based on industry standards for both new construction and replacement projects.
The installation team, Ismail and Isidro, led by Jose Luis Pulido arrived to install the windows and was also very professional. They set up all of their equipment each morning, cleaned up and vacuum each afternoon. They laid down cloths for walking through to work from inside. Jose clearly explained every step in the process of installation. Ismail did a great job of matching the old stucco.
Jeffrey estimated that ours windows and doors would be installed (including re-stucco and wood trim replacement) in one week, it took them 4 days to install all windows and doors.
We are very happy with our windows and doors and we will continue to refer Five Star Windows Company to anyone that we know that needs new windows and doors.

"Great. Kevin did an excellent job installing 4 new interior doors, painted them nicely, and was very flexible in the scheduling of this work."

"Rosa repaired the leaks and adjusted several drip emitters. She also installed new mini-sprayers to solve some of the underwatering problems. The biggest thing she did was to find a punctured 5/8" water line that fed most of the drip irrigation in the back yard. That water line was drenching a Japanese Maple and, I suspect, swelling the soil nearby, resulting in some ground movement that damaged stucco. She repaired the water line and turned off some unnecessary drip emitters."

"The SGK office staff were very polite and helpful and the gentleman that came out to do the estimate was also very polite and very knowledgeable. He knew a lot of information about the windows that I didn't even know. He spent a lot of time going over different types of windows and how the different ratings could benefit our home and be better for our home in the long run. I did collect a few quotes and in the end SGK was not the cheapest but the quality of their product I feel is well worth the cost. I also don't mind paying a little more since they took more time to answer questions and go over their product in a way that the other companies didn't. Overall I enjoyed meeting with SGK and would consider having them out again for any future projects."
