"They installed about 160 feet of redwood privacy fence with three gates and an additional gated enclosure for a heat pump. For the wood fence itself they did excellent work. Quality material and accommodated some unusual features which meant the entire job was done by one contractor. The owner suggested and installed special gate latches that allow entry with a code on a keypad, which actually got them the job. Their failing was the crew doing the work did not understand how that special gate latch worked, and how to construct a gate to properly use it. I am handy with tools so I was able to spend a day to modify and add to their work to make the latch work. Not everyone is in a position to do that. They over-promised in that crew doing the actual installation needed more guidance for a completely successful installation. So if you have a standard fence and gates with standard Home Depot style hardware, I would recommend them. But if you need something unusual they really are not able to handle it and you need to plan to get that skill set elsewhere."

"The owner of this company is Nato, a native of my father's home state in Mexico, Zacatecas. I called Nato and asked for an estimate twice. Once because I needed a fence rebuilt and once because I wanted my patio done. Both times, Nato was very professional and helpful. He came up to the East Bay from the peninsula, was on time for the estimate appointment and got back to me very quickly with the estimate. His estimate was not the cheapest, but still fair. I ended up going with a cheaper estimate but the other contractor took a long time to finish and did not pay attention to detail. For my next landscape need, I will hire Nato."

"First off, Sid was available to work on the weekend, and in my case, that meant I did not have to take time off work for the visit. Sid installed two drapery rods above sliding glass doors and two above windows, all in the same room. He paid attention to detail as well as to exactly what I wanted. One of the sliding glass doors is adjacent to a window and I wanted the rods to look like there are continuous. Sid made sure they were level, perfectly aligned, and touching. He also patched several holes in my walls and ceiling, some large. He redid one of the patches because he felt it wasn't done right the first time. Then he gave me a break on the price to compensate for the job taking longer than it could have. One of the old drapery rods he took down was 14 feet long and I was worried that the garbage company would not collect it because of the size. Sid cut it down into several chunks for me so I could easily dispose of it. He did all this cheerfully. He showed up on time and was tidy. All in all, a very positive experience.

"I cannot overstate how happy I am with Ron and his great team from Babylon Builders. I had a dream to have a greenhouse built with a hot tub inside. I was looking for an oasis and a natural garden under one roof. I searched and interviewed many contractors and I at one point thought this idea could not materialize as there were discussions from other contractors who did not seem to get the feel and flow or vision of what I was trying to capture. In addition to the build, the placement of the greenhouse had to be attached to my balcony. I came across Babylon Builders and after having a conversation with Ron I got excited thinking this could really happen. Ron came to the house within a few days and brought Juan and the crew so we could all go over exactly what we were hoping for. We hired their team instantly. They were very efficient, creative, and neat in their cleanup every day which was so important to me. Juan thinks outside the box and is a great problem solver in addition to being very talented in his ideas. Every day we would go outside several times a day to watch the magic happen. Juan and Ron fielded many questions and were always ready to answer our numerous questions. Ron and Juan are great people and take pride in their work. Their price was great too. "OVB was on time, very professional and knowledgeable. He installed gate latches on two gates and fixed gate installed by another Fence contractor. Gates had to be leveled and adjusted on the hinges and pulled up with steel cable to level out. Great job OVB."
