The screwy wiring did not make sense to me so I called for help. He sorted out various issues (loose wire nuts in fixture, blown LED bulbs, weird wiring choices) and got everything working. I think he had shoemaker's elves hiding in his van because while I worked with him in the dining room, other fixtures and outlets in other rooms on different circuits started working without being touched. We signed the contract on September 11, 2015 and the system was fully operational on November 20, 2015.  My house is all electric,( heat pump, well pump, the works ).  Over the winter our highest bill was $ 220.00. Over the summer most bills were about $9.00. One month, AEP actually owed us $15.00.  Given the size of our house (1400 sq. ft.) and our usage, we expect to reach break even in 4.5 years.  Given that the panels are good for 25 years, I'll realize a profit for 20.5 years.
