This was the only company that recommended we contact the insurance company because of roof damage found on their inspection, thereby saving us about 75% out of pocket (never would have thought to contact the house insurer otherwise)."

"After receiving storm damage in April 2024, I submitted a claim to my Home Insurance Company and gave Dale from Roof Brothers the claim number. Dale provided a repair estimate to the Insurance Company and even met the adjuster when he came to do the appraisal. The Insurance Company said repairs could be done for under $900. Dale convinced my Insurance Company that was not the case. I would not have known how to convince the Insurance Company to pay for a complete new roof. Enough good cannot be said for the diligence and efforts Dale displayed. Being insurance ignorant, I would have stopped when the insurance talked repair. All insurance negotiations were done by The Roof Brothers and when all was said and done, I got a $42,581 roof for the cost of my deductible of $1000. "They work quickly and do great work. They removed 2 layers of roof and decking on an upper and lower roof. They installed new decking for 95 percent of the roof and cleaned up all in one day. They were professional and very pleasant to work with. I love that there are warranties for both the parts and the service. I can rest knowing that we should not have any issues with our roof - and if we do, we can call Home Genius. They may cost more than what others will quote, but it is worth it. We bought a house where it is obvious they went with the lowest bidder - that is why the decking required full replacement, and within a year, the rafters would have required replacement as well. The only saving grace was the original decking was extremely thick. The only things that were not so great were 1. Lack of clarity on the fact that there would not be shingles on the lower roof because it is virtually flat; and 2. The discounts were for paying cash and a flexible start date. But we contacted them, and they immediately responded."

"We had Shingle Me Now put our new shingles on in 2020. They did replace old roofing and replaced some old, damaged roof board. They weatherized the new roof too. They did a wonderful job. We just this year had shingles falling down in one area. The owner of business, Michael Graci came out personally to see what the problem was and made sure it was not their fault. It was a bad lot of shingles. It was a Manufacture warranty issue and Mr. Graci took the shingles that fell down back to his sales representative to show the manufacturer personally. Michael assured us there was no problem and he would cover setting up new installation of everything would not cost us anything out of pocket. He went ahead and ordered new shingles, which worked out in our favor because the style and color we had are no longer available. He was able to give us an upgrade to keep the color we want. They came within a week and he had everything scheduled quickly. We are very pleased with this Company and can rest at ease now before winter hits. We highly recommend anyone who needs a new roof to call them."

"After I got 5 estimates, 3 for Asphalt shingles, 2 for Metal roofing I decided to go with First Choice because Dave explained exactly what he planned to do. The other contractor wanted to install the metal roof over the exiting Shingles even after I explained that I suspected that some wood decking was damaged and needed to be replaced. I was able to do everything over the phone and via email as I am currently deployed overseas.

"When I first contacted the company they did not return my call.   I got several estimates from other companies and then decided to try Summit again.   This time the owner (Gino) returned my call and explained that he had gotten my first message but his phone had broken and he had lost my number.   He promptly came out out to the house and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the work.  He sent a contract which I signed and returned, and which also indicated the work would begin within 1 -2 weeks of the signing date (8/12/13).   Two weeks later he indicated he would begin the work that week but never showed up because it rained.  He said he would return Tuesday of the following week.   He did not show up but sent an email that Thursday saying he had other emergency work that needed to be done and that he would start the next week.  He did not show up the following week at all and did not respond to my emails and calls.  He finally emailed on 9/19/13 apologizing for lack of response due to losing his Ipad.   He explained that he had again run into emergency water damage/insurance issues and was short on manpower, but would begin the next week.  Once again he did not show up that week and emailed me on 9/27/13 saying he would start the following week.   He and several workers finally showed up the first week of October (six weeks after I had returned the signed contract).   They worked for a day or two and then did not return for another week.   The rest of the work was completed over the next two weeks by a single worker (not Gino) who was VERY professional and VERY skilled.  
Ultimately, I was very pleased with the work that was done and I was quite satisfied with the price.  It was, however, a very frustrating experience in terms of not knowing when they would show up or when the work would be completed.  I definitely felt like he was "fitting me in" and that the job was not a priority for him.   I understand that emergencies can come up, that weather can make it difficult to work, and that there can be staffing issues.   I just wish Gino had been more responsive and kept me in the loop.  Not knowing what was happening was the hardest part.
So, I would definitely recommend Summit Peak for price and quality of work, but I would be hesitant to hire them again because of the responsiveness issues.
