"The whole job from bid stage to installation was done remotely while we are away for the winter. Steve is a consummate professional who provided a fairly priced estimate of the work needed and answered the many questions we had afterwards with patience and thoroughness. He worked with scheduling his installation crew for a day when I could have a family member be available to allow access. His crew removed the existing stair treads and risers on two staircases, built a new plywood sub-floor for each staircase then installed luxury vinyl treads and risers over them as well as installing quarter round moulding on all the baseboards of our three level townhome in one day! The quality of the work was great and the home was clean as if a major construction project was never done. I challenge anyone to find a contractor better than Jim Longden. He responded quickly to do an estimate, was professional, personable, and did a great job in a short amount of time for a price that was very affordable. Jim told me he could do it in one day, and it took him one day. He gave me an affordable price, and stuck to that price. He was clean in his workspace, no mess, and was respectful of the existing structure, like the hard wood floor.
